When looking for a restaurant to have lunch for Father’s Day, I came across Ripples, Little Manly and I was so excited that they had availability for our group of nine. Upon booking, the website offered two options: Father’s Day Lunch or the 50% off special, each with different menus and prices. The 50% off special was considerably less in terms of price than the Father’s Day lunch option and we preferred the 50% off menu so we went for that option. A week before the booking, Hannah called me from the restaurant to say that there had been an IT issue – I should not have had the option to book the 50% off special. Only the Father’s Day menu was being offered on Father’s Day and I would have to take that option if I wanted to keep my booking. This was a huge disappointment since the Father’s Day menu was $36 more PER PERSON when compared to the 50% off special and it was significantly over our budget for our two families involved. My husband found a full-time job last month after struggling for more than two years so this was going to be a big day for us, celebrating him but we still had our pockets to mind with our hardship being fresh. The system glitch was no fault of ours and was in fact false advertising. However, given that we would be unlikely to find a booking elsewhere, a week before Father’s Day, we considered retaining the booking and I asked Hannah whether they would be able to compensate for the error by providing some sort of discount on the Father’s Day menu – even if we couldn’t get the same price as the 50% off special, some relief would be appreciated. Hannah agreed that the restaurant was at fault and consulted with management as to whether they could somehow compromise and meet us in the middle. The answer was a solid “no”. Hannah provided other alternatives such as dinner, or breakfast at 8am or coming on a different day instead. Having five small children in our group, dinner on a Sunday night before school/work at a restaurant that is 40 minutes away from us, is not ideal for obvious reasons. Equally, having to rush out of the house with small children just after 7am on a Sunday morning would not be pleasant for anyone involved. The option of coming another day defeats the point and the celebration loses its shine. We ended up cancelling our booking and we are now left to make other arrangements for Father’s Day at the last minute. Management’s arrogance and lack of accountability for their error, knowing that they would be able to fill those seats at full price is greedy and shameful. They need to remember that their customers are not faceless bums on seats but real people with real lives. We were so looking forward to experiencing this restaurant as we had not been there before but they completely ruined Father’s Day for us and we will never support them in future. The only credit I will give is to Hannah, who handled our calls professionally and with as much courtesy as possible. Thank you, Hannah – I hope that management is kinder to you than they are to...

Nestled in an amazing location right on Little Manly Beach, this hidden gem offers an unparalleled dining experience with full glass windows that provide a stunning view of the beach.
Ali, the manager, was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was perfect. The chef at Little Manly Ripples is truly remarkably creative, designing an exquisite menu that caters to all tastes. The gourmet selection is impressive, with every dish meticulously prepared and presented.
We opted for the $49 three-course set menu, which was a delightful journey of flavors and textures. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the portions were just right, leaving us satisfied without feeling overwhelmed.
The ambiance overlooking the beach, creates a serene and picturesque setting that enhances the dining experience. Whether you're there for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, the atmosphere is perfect.
After our meal, we enjoyed their beautiful aroma house blend coffee, The barista made the most amazing coffees ... so much that we went back the next day to get take away coffees...Additionally, their selection of lovely cakes for morning tea is a treat not to be missed.

Read more9 of us had lunch at Ripples on Sunday to celebrate a birthday. It is a very lovely location. Our waitress was very good. However things turned south when the waiter hit my Wife in the head with his elbow as he passed and carried on to serve the adjacent table without acknowledging this accident . When he came back I told him that he had hit her. Rather than apologising, which would have solved the issue; he got very angry, defensive and he said he didn't meant it. It was the most aggressive sorry I've every witnessed. Our table was quite stunned at his response. This really put our impression of your restaurant on the back foot.
The meals took almost 2 hours to arrive and some patrons arrived after us and left ; having eaten; before we received our meals. After our meal we were offered coffees, which we waited 15 mins for, before being told we didn't have time for coffee and had to leave immediately as there was a booking after us. These coffees, incidentally, were placed on the bill. The bill was corrected after checks.
The whole experience didn't justify the premium you pay for the food. Fish and chips I ordered was quite greasy. Chips were cold. Salad garnish would have improved the meal. Also $28 for a kids meal is a LOT! The barramundi and the cauliflower were well received and enjoyed.
I think you have all the ingredients in your establishment to create a great experience, however the execution was disappointing. Also if you're patrons are to use the public toilets perhaps your staff could take on the responsibility to do more regular cleans. The mens toilet was filthy.
Overall we were quite disappointed, despite a...
