Went here for breakfast. They've been open for about a week I think and the place is amazing! A huge upgrade on the previous bakery. Have been watching the renovation for the past few months. We tried the meat pizza, zaatar cheese & garlic pizza and the lamb sandwich. Looked so good I didn't get a chance to take photos before we had devoured some of the food. The mini baked pastries in the display cabinet are delicious and were coming out of the oven hot! The owner was very welcoming and friendly! Highly recommended, so happy they've opened!

All their Lebanese breads and pastries are so fresh and yummy - from the manakish za'atar (tangy with sumac) to the cheese kaak (so crispy and aromatic with the sesame seeds encrusted on it being all toasted), fluffy and soft fatayer (bread triangles with a filling that I think is spinach and other ingredients - it's a bit tangy) and cheese za'atar rolls (soft, fluffy bread with a filling of the perfect combo of cheese, za'atar and olive oil).

This place is a gem! Incredibly friendly service - they helped my disabled dad find seating and were very kind to us. They even gave us extra sweet croissants - freshly baked! We ordered the baked egg breakfast meals. They come with freshly baked pita - simply delightful. I would definitely recommend coming here. I’ll be back next week! Good coffee and fresh juice as well :)

Fantastic Lebanese eatery in Mascot. Convenient location with free parking available nearby.

It's a small, simply decorated and welcoming venue. Seating is limited but there are plenty of options for takeaway.

I had the zataar and cheese wrap and it was delicious, made fresh to order, and the leftovers still tasted amazing reheated.

The bread is soft and a good texture, chewy and satisfying.

I also tried the coffee and was quite impressed, I really like the strong, bold coffee but they also have other options like coffee frappe.

I also noticed they had protein shakes and juices on the menu!

You can also purchase a variety of Lebanese foods such as pepper paste, pomegranate molasses and Pickles. They did have a fridge selling Aryan and other cold beverages too.

Standout was the customer service, I was served by a lovely and beautifully presented lady who was welcoming and happy to explain the different options. I regret not asking her where she got her outfit as whe was incredibly stylish!

Definitely...

GREAT BREAKFAST IN MASCOT!

Like a blinkered Millennial, I was striding along Botany Rd looking for somewhere to end my 14hr fast.

Out of the corner of my screen addicted eye, I caught sight of a small Cafe, ZA’ATAR BAKE.

I don’t mind a fresh baked Za’atar, but their enticing menu screamed at me to try something new.

I ordered the “Baked Eggs with Sujuc.” I learnt that Sujuc is the name for perfectly spiced and flavoured Lebanese sausage.

My first awakening was when the Cappuccino was brought out. Perfect temperature and flavour that made me sit back and give thanks to my Lord for bringing me here. The best coffee I’ve tasted on this strip! (Sorry Christopher’s😟).

Then the breakfast came out. Truly, utterly the best $20 breakfast ANYWHERE! This dish is served in a steel hot pot so it won’t get cold, enjoying it slowly is part of the deal. Savouring the sides of fresh cut olives and yoghurt.

This family run Cafe will be seeing a lot more of...
