Vino Lokal is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and beautifully suited for both dining and relaxing. What really stands out are the food options; there are plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices, and the curry is a must-try. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff are exceptionally friendly and make you feel right at home, which adds to the overall warmth of the place. They also have an incredible collection of wines, paired with outstanding knowledge. I’ve never been disappointed; their recommendations always fit the mood and vibe perfectly, which makes every visit feel special. Another highlight is that it’s not only a great spot for a meal or a glass of wine, but also a perfect place to bring your laptop. The Wi-Fi is reliable, the vibe is laid-back, and it’s easy to settle in and get some work done without feeling rushed. If you’re in Tanunda, whether you’re looking for great food, expert wine pairings, friendly service, or just a comfortable spot to enjoy some time, Vino Lokal is highly...
Read moreVino Lokal was highly recommended by locals - to the point where we cancelled a booking with Char. First impressions were good. However things went downhill from there. Waitress got my order completely wrong - ordering a steak for me when I ordered Barramundi which happened to be the most expensive item in the menu. Not quite sure how that happened as there was no mention of how I’d like my steak done. My sister ordered the chicken and Brussel sprouts to share - which were very good. Waited 10 minutes for order to emerge, whereby my sister had almost finished her meal. So not really a dining experience. It was awkward. Barramundi was a bit of a mushy mess. Harissa was a main ingredient which you couldn’t taste. There was no offer of a complimentary glass of wine or anything else to mitigate the tardy service. Very disappointed. Would not recommend this restaurant at all. There are far better other options in Tanunda for an excellent...
Read moreCalled me to rebook because they overbooked for valentines. Agreed because these things happen, not their fault but rebooked for 6pm.
We then were given the worst table (in the corner next to the kitchen entrance) and after been given entrees pretty quickly, was ignored for about an hour while other people were served.
We then got our mains (approx 7:30 after waiting over an hour) it was delicious, the food was great and the wine list was also amazing.
I would’ve expected that since I had book two weeks early for the valentine dinner, we would’ve received some kind of (at least) token of appreciation. At least a better spot, or a complimentary drink.
TLDR: Great food let down by service. Very very expensive. We got there at 6:15pm and left at 8:15, still chewing our desert because we saw other patrons were forced to wait due to the...
