Appalling, I gave them 1 star because it was the only way I could leave a comment. Yes it was busy but this service was disgusting. First I stood in line for 20 minutes to place my order, pizza, burger and small chips. After about 45 mins I noticed several orders placed after ours were all called, all pizza and chips so I asked how long till pur order was up and was told about 10 mins. Our number was finally called after 60mins of waiting and to my surprise they pull out our pizza and chips from the warmer that had been placed in there 30 mins prior. When I questioned her about how long they sat in the warmer all I got was an incredibly rude response about being busy and that pizza only takes 30mins but burgers take longer. She then turned away and very loudly for all to hear that I complained about having to wait an hour. The chips had sat for so long they were inedible and the rest was certainly not much better. If this is a typical example of the quality of the food and their service I can only assume they are still in business because there is...

My mate Keegsy who resides somewhat legally in Strahan said I had to check this place out. 'It's the bomb' he declared, slamming his cascade ale on his bench, 'Bomb?' I sputter, 'Like those bloody immigrants?' 'Not in that way,' he laments, 'But the palce is pure dynamite.' Keegsy knows me too well, I am sucker for thriller novels and conspiracies and see myself sometimes as an undercover, underwhelming investigator. I sniffed this place out, looking for suspicious evidence such as hydrogen tanks and fissile material stockpiles. The only thing I did sniff, however, was the bacon and egg roll and coffee. I passed the gent $10 in cold crisp notes. He had asked for 9$9.50. 'Good morning,' I said. He looked calm, sort of as if he were covering up that he was really nervous, like he had something to hide. Our eyes stared into one another's for perhaps twenty seconds. 'Keep the change,' I muttered. He nodded. Shuffling from the store, roll in one hand, coffee in the other, I vowed to get to the bottom of this.

I'd be back.

The roll...

We got pizzas last year from here and they were soggy and somehow just tasted like the ingredients will really crummy. It's honestly the only place we could find wonwe accepted it. ...

We came back this year for another camping trip and got fish and chips sadly.... I really didn't wanna try this place again but we did

My husband asked whether anything is freshly battered or fresh seafood... You know, cos there is loads of fresh seafood bought around here... The owner just said she hasn't got time for that. I honestly don't know how you can serve frozen food and still cook it horrendously so it comes out soggy and tasting like cardboard. I understand small town's don't always get loads of money to produce fine dining but how is this place still getting...

Not many places to order , so I guess limited on choice at Strahan. I ordered a Dagwood dog, a piece of flake and chips. I seen everything was cooked in 4-5 minutes apart from the Dagwood dog. There was only a couple of people in the shop. I was standing 1 my away from the register awkwardly. After 20 mins I asked how the order was going. They looked puzzled in the kitchen and then produced the Dagwood dog 5 mins later, and grabbed the rest of my order form the hot box. They had forgotten about my order, and strangely didn’t ask what I was standing there for. The flake then was thin and grey meat. The chips were cold and soggy. Overall fairly low food quality and service fail. Sorry guys.

Molly's takeaway is one of the few dining options in Strahan open in winter. Luckily, prices are very reasonable and staff are lovely. Grill / pizza options close off at 6.30pm but they went above and beyond to help us with grabbing a couple of dinner options. The vego burger was surprisingly good and pizza leftover in the bain marie delicious. Highly recommend the wedges as well. They have a number of grocery options and freezer meals available which is very handy.

I suppose when there's nothing else open in Strahan this place will do. The place was packed and we had to wait for quite a while which was fine if the food was worth it. Sadly it was wasn't. Ordered steak burger with lettuce and no tomato, instead I got no lettuce and some tomato!! The steak on the burger was tasteless and utterly unappealing, couldn't even convince the seagulls to take a look! On the plus side the chips and piece of flake were very nice.
