This was such a funny, clever show and well worth the money. The amazing way that they "build" the ship throughout the show and include the audience and weave the story in and out is excellent. The crowd really gets involved and by the end of the show it's wild and wonderful. I highly recommend this wonderful show with extremely clever actors. My only note would be picking the audience participation with a bit more care. My husband HATES this type of thing so we sat in the far back corner and I have no doubt his body language was clear about not wanting to be picked. Unfortunately he was picked for something, only a small role that didn't see him having to leave his seat but it ultimately made him very uncomfortable and ruined the show for him. I think with the actors vast experience that they should be able to read the crowd a little better. Or maybe they think it's funny picking someone who isn't comfortable joining in??? It is just something to be aware of in future. Overall I loved it and encourage everyone to go and enjoy the show.

An unbelievable gem on the West coast of Tasmania! This is stage theater of the finest entertainment, faultless performance with huge integration of the audience to play their part and lots of action on stage, never a dull second. People were singing, clapping, stomping their feet, cheering, chanting and laughing so much that tears were rolling down my cheeks 😂 We haven't laughed this much in many years, it was phenomenal! It is unbelievable that the show has been going for 28 years on a daily basis 😮👍👍👍 Whoever is in the vicinity of Northwest Tasmania must come to Strahan, if it is only for this show, it is an unforgettable experience!

What a delightful show! The entire performance was carried by two actors who, with the aid of simple props, involved the audience as other members of the cast! The show was a hilarious retelling of the Great Escape from Sarah Island. The set design is superb and the ship is cleverly "built" during the show. It's the longest running theatre performance in Australia. The night we went was chilly but we were well looked after with the provision of blankets and mini hot water bottles! If in Strahan, don't miss this! Tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Information Centre or at the door.

If you want to learn about a fascinating chapter in the convict era in Tassie in a super fun way, please see this play! Kiah and the crew do it so well, pulling the audience into the story creating a connected, fantastic, and buzzing atmosphere swelling up to fill the entire amphitheatre. We were so emersed in the story and the fun, we forgot about our “five-people-all-in-one-car-on-top-of-one-another” day, and seeing my family’s faces lit up after a trying day in the car was so lovely. We all went back to camp with wide grins and uplifted spirits, raving about the time we’d had. The theatre was colourful, interesting, warm, inviting and comfortable and we were made to feel like we could totally relax and enjoy the experience. Most of our family, even the ones who were initially a bit reluctant to go, would totally come back to Strahan from SA just to see this play again. It’s quite unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before and has really turned out to be a highlight...

I was there with my sister on the 12 March 2024 and I absolutely recommend anyone to go there who likes real history with lots of fun. It was so nice to see the two actors play, and even pick some people in the crowd to help them play. They choose people at random to play fix parts and enjoy the theater in a new way. My sister and I we were also one of the chosen ones, and we had a part to play in this wonderful and exciting play. My sister played the hero while I was the cat that scratches her 😆. I was also fortunate enough to have seen the daughter ,of the author of the play, play the theater. You could see how much fun they had and they made it something memorable and special. If you have a...
