Good breakfast on the Esplanade
S42°9.207' E 145°19.702' This ācute-as-a-buttonā cafe shack or shed is opposite the cruise terminal on the Strahanās Esplanade and opens at 6am. It has its own small car park next to Bushmanās Bar & CafĆ©. Inside, there is space for eight people, but outside there is more.
The Coffee Shack, of course, serves good coffee accompanied by homemade muffins, cakes and slices from the blackboard menu. We ordered toast with ham, cheese and tomato and toast with avocado, tomato and cheese. The toast was a little too charred. The macchiato was good.
With Bushman Bar & CafƩ closed next door, it got busier in the Coffee Shack, but managed the extra guests very well.

Pretty pricey at $20 for the large long black and the bread, but the West Coast needs all the economic support it can get right now as they are being hit the worst of all places in Tassie by the post covid recession.
They did ask me to keep a secret and that was to not tell anyone they gave me two slices for the price of one because they were closing soon. An excellent Tassie business, I just hope...
