My family was looking forward to a good vibe by the beach and some tasteful lunch but was so disappointed. Food wise I give 1 star. My wife and I ordered the same ceasar salad ($24) with extra chicken ($6) for a total of $30 each. Happy to pay for something like this but not when the 3 slices of chicken was salty and cold, the 1 egg cut into quarters was cold and the so called dressing was literally non existent. I only hope the other food on the menu is not so carelessly prepared and of small quantity. Service wise I give 1 start. There is no table service and when I went to order at the bar, I had to wait and stand around for one of the two staff members to acknowledge me before taking my order. And no, it wasn't busy at all. Atmosphere wise, I give 2 stars. The view was excellent from the table seat by the window but the support guard rails underneath the table were so low that our knees kept bumping them. Very uncomfortable. Last but not least, the music played in the background was too loud which meant that everyone was having to speak louder. Not relaxing in anyway. This location has the potential to be a really great place to eat and enjoy the views for lunch. I only hope that food quality improves over time and that the atmosphere caters for a more confortable and relaxing experience...
Read moreI ordered the bacon double egg and cheese on Brioche roll. The bun was greasy to touch and very greasy overall. My plate was half full of grease after eating. Get rid of the Brioche and go with a more typical type of bread roll would be my suggestion. The flat white coffee was quite bland as well. You should ask for a double shot or something. Wasn't well made either. Mustn't have a proper or experienced barista is my guess. The seating is picnic table bench seating, so if you are getting older e.g in your 60's or 70's it a bit hard to throw your legs over. My oldies are in their 70's and Mum commented on it so it's a no on the seating. Overall a 5/10 experience. It's a great view of the Haven and...
Read moreI’m not someone to normally go out of my way to give this a review but this was needed. Yes the scenery and atmosphere is great and the beverages aren’t too bad.
But my oh my the food was horrendous for the actual cost. Oysters cost $5.50 EACH!!!, they barely had any flavour and were small. Moreton bay bug rolls also did not have any flavour. Fish tacos were covered in some watery mayo with cabbage that over powered the fish and pineapple salsa, in fact I could not taste any pineapple at all. The barramundi cost $36 and it was extremely small with only fennel on the side with a couple bits of mandarin.
I really hope they fix the food because this place is...
