Absolutely the worst service I've experienced not only in Australia but worldwide. The older woman in charge of the restaurant (hard to tell as she was dressed in denim shorts) was incredibly rude & surly, and her idea of customer service was non existent. After confirming the restaurant accepted the dine & discover nsw vouchers we made our booking only to told, once there & ordering, that they would not be accepting them now. This was the main reason for choosing Trojans for lunch. The older woman (long brown hair) was rude, surly, dismissive, unapologetic for the change, didn't care, shrugged her shoulders and walked off. This is the same woman who we had to repeat our booking name to 3 times on arrival as every time she asked our name she looked away & was not paying attention. She then went to show us to our table only to walk to the door, point outside on the deck and say there's your table. I asked her which one it was & she again said, there! This woman definitely shouldn't be working in customer service, especially hospitality.
As this was a "double birthday celebration" we continued on & found our table on the far side of the outdoor area. There was an half eaten chicken leg bone laying on the ground baking in the sun right beside our table. We were seated in the shade on hard wooden slatted chairs which were rather cold & uncomfortable to sit on. A member of our group was also cut off mid step walking across the room by an empty handed waitress who shot directly across in front of him, nearly tripping him.
The only thing going for this place is the location, otherwise, an all round unpleasant dining experience, rude, surly staff, unappetising food, dreadful customer service & Trojans change of mind with the dining vouchers (& lack of notification), at what we really couldn't call a restaurant (we've had much better service & food at the local pub), means none of us would either recommend nor ever return to Trojans...

Starters: The chicken wings were cooked to perfection and I cannot fault the taste. They were delicious. Our mains came about 5 minutes after our starter was delivered. A little more time between courses would have been better.
Mains: We ordered the eye fillet which is supposed to be a really decent cut of meat. However, both steaks had a massive chunk of fat on one side and they were to be cooked medium, they came really rare. The chef took them back and cooked them a little more.
There was one young waiter that was incredibly helpful...the waitresses were not particularly interested or helpful.
The salt and pepper shakers on the table were both empty and there were no serviettes on the table and I had to go looking for both as most of the wait staff were in a huddle and talking amongst themselves.
At the end of our meal, our table wasn't cleared despite the table next to us having their table cleared promptly on completion of their meal. They received their meal and completed eating after us.
There are massive areas from quality, service and general attention to patrons that need attention to improve the experience. We will unfortunately not be returning to see if it does. The one...
Read moreThe only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars based on my experience today is down to the wait staff handling the issue well. First of all this is no reflection on the poor staff working there. From what I was informed by one of the waitresses a number of chefs resigned recently and that was evident today with many customers waiting up to 1hr for their food. It seems the owners are happy to leave their venue understaffed and happy to let the servers bear the brunt of customer disappointment. The food was mediocre, cooked well but the ingredients did not taste fresh or of quality. It was my nans birthday today and in short after a lot of waiting we had all received and finished our meals and my nan was left waiting. The kind waitress that worked there sympathised with the issue and let her have the meal for free. Despite whatever amount of stress she was under she was still kind and empathetic towards me and my complaint. Very well handled. Clearly this catastrophe today is due to the owners lack of management, corner cutting and priotising of profits over customer satisfaction. The venue was far too packed for what the staff and restraunt could handle and yet they pushed onward anyway. Do better for the locals, do better for...
