I am very disappointed with the service I recently experienced at forest lakes McDonald’s. The employees at this location completely ignored the Uber Eats drivers who came to pick up orders. They did not acknowledge us, ask for order numbers, or even attempt to check on the pickup status. We were all just left standing there waiting without any communication or assistance.
It’s very frustrating because delivery drivers are there to do their jobs, just like the restaurant staff. When orders are delayed or ignored, it not only wastes our time but also causes late deliveries for customers, which affects everyone’s ratings and satisfaction. What’s worse is that even when we tried to politely ask about the order, the employees acted like they didn’t care or were too busy to respond.
This kind of behavior shows a serious lack of professionalism and respect for delivery drivers, who play a key role in keeping the business running—especially with online and delivery orders being such a big part of McDonald’s operations. It wouldn’t take much effort for staff to simply ask who the pickup is for, confirm the order number, and provide an estimated waiting time.
Overall, the service was extremely poor and unorganized. I hope McDonald’s management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to their staff to treat delivery drivers with respect and efficiency. No one should be ignored or left waiting without...
Read moreI arrived in McDonald's in thornlie forrest Lakes shopping centre to find the automated ordering system displaying the following message" we .are only taking take away orders atm. I waited for a staff member to attend yo me. At 12.23.48 my order was taken. It took the young man 5 minutes to do. My order wS finalised at 12.28, the price being $57.45. Please see attached photo. I witnessed the drinks being made straight away, please see attached photo, by the time I was given the drinks 14 minutes later they had started to melt. I witnessed at least 10 orders go out to customers in the drive through and 2 delivery meals go out , also inside orders like mine being numbers 131 through to 135 were called and given there meals before mine. It took 19 minutes to have my order placed and filled, if I had been in car I would have been asked to bay up and my order would have been bought to the car within 5 minutes. How do I know this.... because I have previously on many occasions attended the said store. When I approached the staff I got I have it now, no apology until I told the staff member that I would be placing a review as this service was unacceptable. Your company asked for feedback, I cannot be more angry at being not considered worthy of decent customer service just because I wasn't in my...
Read moreDown here from the States. Took our good friends daughter too McDonalds and ordered food. We ordered hot and cold food. Most of the order was ready in less than 10 minutes and included all the hot food. We were waiting on one cold item. 20 minutes later the last item finally came. By then all the hot food was cold. I asked for it to be replaced. Another 15 minutes and it was replaced. We took it to the table. I opened the wrapper and it was the wrong food. I took it back and showed the girl at the counter. She wrapped the food up and PUT IT BACK ON THE RACK for the next customer. In the US that is a health code violation. I finally got my hot food and ate it. My friends daughter said they forget the ice cream in one of her drinks. I went back up and finally had to talk to the manager. He apologized and fixed her drink and admitted that putting returned food back in the queue was a health food violation.
While all this was going in a lady who had ordered online and was sitting outside in her car waiting for her food finally got tired and came in to get it. She had been there over 45 minutes.
There was an Uber eats guy there who had also been waiting for 45 minutes or more and he was pretty tired of waiting.
This place has some serous issues with so many mistakes. Regime change might...
