Little Donkey Corner — Restaurant in Tuart Hill

Very disappointed I have been here a few times on my own and have been happy with everything. How ever this time I took one of my kids here breakfast as I had to drop the other child for swimming early morning. So I thought this would be a real treat for some one on one time for both of us. They had a kids menu but only had 3 options! And to be honest I don’t think I could order toast as the little one wanted a cheese toastie. But I couldn’t get it for them as not on the menu. For adults or children I also asked the team on for a colouring book and pencils. The boy very confused asked a colleague and then told me no they don’t have that! But then as I started walking off they started laughing and said why would they have colouring books! That just made me self conscious and upset that I let them bother me. With their words.

But I also ask why wouldn’t you have some little activities for the little ones. I have been to many cafes and they have something for the little ones! Now mind you they are a care park away from a primary school and 5+ more schools with in a 5min drive.

I also then went to get tap water and cups to drink. 😧 all the water bottles were not ideal and I grabbed the best one I could find. Then when our food came I tried to fine a clean spoon. There was not one clean spoon I could use! Instead I had to use the drinking water to clean the cutlery. This just made me took at the Little donkey‘a differently! As I suddenly realised that the cafe was filthy! And the when we were leaving I passed a mum getting a high chair and noticed not one high chair had been wiped down after it had been used! Why are mums forced to do cleaning when you are out paying for a service! But you have to clean the high chair so the baby has a clean spot to sit in. That makes me mad! I...

Pretty disappointing. Namely because of the staff. I live down the road, have stepped in a few times, and never ever been greeted. It's so uninviting and the staff are unfriendly. I've walked out multiple times as I've simply been ignored. I went one afternoon (they were open until late that evening for burger nights in Feb) and the young lady seemed almost annoyed that I was there! There was no one else there when i walked in. She was even more annoyed when I ordered as what I ordered irritated her or something? I ordered a milkshake (which was less than 250mls) for $7!! She didn't put Ice cream or flavour in it, so I'm not sure what that $7 actually paid for....the cup maybe?? The girl was so rude and dismissive. I wanted to look at the menu while I was there, maybe come back for dinner....this also annoyed her I thought they may have a lot of bookings, they did not, I passed it later that evening. I thought maybe she was in a bad mood or I'd interrupted her, but when some regulars walked in, she was a different person and fell all over them. I had to wait for her to greet these guests and have a chat before she would make my drink. It made me wonder how this place actually gets regulars and what must be done to get in the "inner circle" and not be treated like garbage for thinking of dining there. Don't waste your money. There's plenty of other coffee shops/cafes in Perth. Overpriced,...

Wanted to check this place out after all the hype… still fail to get the hype. Partner & I sat inside at the long table (next to one another, will be important for later) across from the kitchen after ordering food and coffee. While waiting for the food and coffee partner went outside to answer a call, the order of drinks came and the girl serving placed mine in front of me and the other one across the table, instead of next to me. I was confused as surely she saw where and how we were sitting, I brushed it off and placed my partners drink next to me. He came back in and had some of his coffee and then went out again. The food then came and the same girl placed my meal in front of me and then place the other meal across the table again! As it’s clear that we’re sitting next to one another, so in the moment when she put the food down, I said sorry, can you pass me the food please? I was shocked and annoyed and couldn’t understand what she was doing or why. The food was very average and not very flavourful and the coffee was average too.

I don’t support the hype of this place and tbh I don’t think...
