I believe this shop has then friendliest staff well the regular female server is. She gets to know her regular customers greets them and knows their regular orders. Makes you want to come back and the locals do. So if the locals like the food its a sheer delight to tourists. It has fresh fish ( forget the imported frozen Hoki) go for the Barramundi. Also hamburgers, chips, scallops, as well as the usual soft drinks ( dominated by Amatil or better known as Coca Cola), milkshakes and ice creams. Also available is coffee & tea. You can sit out the front and eat it but a far better suggestions is to take it to the board walk picnic area at the end of the main street behind the caravan park. But be quick as Big Brother Government is quickly fencing off the beach area so they can sell a lease to Reflections Holiday Parks. They used to be OUR beach front cheap family camping areas but not anymore. Does anyone remember the Government asking us the owners if they could convert them to leasehold land? By the way your food will still he fresh and hot as the Urunga takeaway puts the fish in a cardboard container with nice fresh lemon not wrapped in paper to steam it. You have the choice of battered, crumbed or grilled ( the best for barra but a...

We rarely get take away but being on holidays decided that fish and chips on the water would be a great dinner. It worked out just over $100 (which for our big family wasn't too bad). We waited about 20 minutes, which was fine. We left and opened the bag and the fish was dark brown and shiny from the oil. The calamari rings were soggy and broken with black bits, I assume came from the fryer covering them. The chips and scallops were just about edible, so I called and asked if we could replace the fish and calamari as it was inedible. They said the problem was that the oil needed changing and they could remake it and let it drain for longer. The food came out looking exactly the same, this time with a dead and squished fly on the bag. Not sure if he was put in as an extra for our trouble but I was quite happy without him! So we ended up spending $100 on a bag of chips and threw the rest in the bin. So...

The wait time was so long, ultimately we decided not to order. We had to go another place to get food. The rating is due to long wait time, not for food taste.

Update on 01/06/2022: It's good to know now that the wait time could be 45 mins. If I new that before I could have saved my travel time. I am not submitting the review right after coming out from your shop. I visited the shop on Sunday 29th May 2022 around 1:20pm. The intention of this review is to let others know that your shop takes time to prepare food. The same information was posted by other customers as well. The customer feedback gives you a chance to improve your process and rating in google. But it depends on you if you want to...

Absolutely disgusting... ordered crumbed fish and got battered, looked like it was cooked for 10 minutes Full of oil and chewy to eat.crumbed calamari came in bits and just snapped in half. Ordered 2 sea scallops and only got 1 oil logged one and all throughout the food it had bits and pieces of other people's crumb and bits , like a piece of pineapple.. best thing about it was the can of coke.. lost our business!!!
