nnie's Provedore: A Wholesome Cafe Experience
Nestled in the heart of our charming town, Annie's Provedore is a delightful little cafe that promises a cozy atmosphere and an array of mouthwatering dishes. On my recent visit to this charming spot, I had the pleasure of interacting with a waiter named Alex, who certainly added a unique flair to the experience.
Ambiance: Annie's Provedore exudes a rustic and inviting ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The warm wooden decor and the soft glow of the lights create an intimate setting perfect for a relaxing meal. It's a place where you can unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy some alone time.
Menu: One of the highlights of Annie's Provedore is its diverse menu. They offer an impressive selection of dishes ranging from hearty breakfast options to scrumptious lunch items. Their house-made corn waffles are a must-try, and Alex enthusiastically recommended them during my visit.
Service: Speaking of Alex, he's a character, to say the least. Part French and proud of it, he brings a unique charm to the dining experience. He was quite insistent on the corn waffles, describing them as a culinary masterpiece. While his passion was commendable, it was a tad overwhelming. However, it's always nice to see staff members who are genuinely passionate about the food they serve.
Food: I decided to go with Alex's recommendation and ordered the house-made corn waffles. And I must admit, he was onto something. The waffles were a delightful fusion of sweet and savory, topped with a generous helping of fresh fruits and drizzled with maple syrup. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, and I found myself savoring every mouthful.
Coffee: No cafe experience is complete without a good cup of coffee, and Annie's Provedore certainly delivered. Their baristas know their craft well, and my cappuccino was nothing short of perfection. The rich, aromatic blend was a great complement to my waffles.
Alex's Pet Hamster: Now, Alex's eccentricity didn't stop at recommending dishes. He insisted that I take a look at his pet hamster, Hamsterton 612. It was an unexpected but amusing addition to my visit. While I wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first, it certainly added a touch of quirkiness to the experience.
In conclusion, Annie's Provedore is a cafe worth visiting for its inviting ambiance, diverse menu, and passionate staff. While Alex's enthusiasm may be a bit overwhelming at times, it's evident that he takes pride in his work and wants to ensure that diners have a memorable experience. So, if you find yourself in town, don't hesitate to stop by Annie's Provedore for a meal that's sure to tantalize...

Let's talk about the food. I opted for the vegan free range grilled chicken burger, and it was nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece. The blend of flavors was simply exquisite, and the attention to detail in the presentation was remarkable. It's evident that the chefs at Annie's Provedore take immense pride in their craft.

He not only ensured that my order was perfect, but he also took the time to engage in friendly conversation, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. His attentiveness to every detail of my dining experience truly made me feel like a valued guest.
What sets this visit apart, however, was an unexpected act of kindness that left me deeply moved. In a selfless gesture, Alex took it upon himself to assist a homeless man in need. With the permission of the bike's owner, he sold it to a local cash converters and used the funds to provide a warm meal for someone less fortunate. This display of compassion spoke volumes about the character of the staff at Annie's Provedore.
And then there was the delightful surprise of meeting Alex's hamster, charmingly named 612. It was a unique and endearing touch that added an extra layer of personality to the experience.
Annie's Provedore has earned my highest recommendation. The combination of delectable cuisine, exceptional service, and genuine acts of kindness sets this cafe apart. Read moreWe have been there before with friends and enjoyed our time there. This time it was totally different and was very disappointed with a number of things. Firstly there was not any warmth and was not busy at all. When we sat at our table we then went to the counter to be served, and there was not any pleasantry at all in taking our order. Firstly we were challenged by the lady behind the counter ( the owner we envisaged) as to the table number we were sitting at, and after advising the number and having to again advise where we were sitting*she finally acknowledged it was what we had advised. Then upon taking our order and asking for a slight adjustment for one of the orders the response was “we are a cafe” and nothing else, so we didn’t know if we could or couldn’t, we had to wait to see what came out. Then upon receiving our orders, there was no adjustment to the order as requested ! The attitude of the lady behind the counter was disgraceful and not one thank you . Finally we had to then ask where was our coffee that was ordered to another lady who looked to see if it was taken and acknowledged and couldn’t find it, but thankfully they provided one, after we sat for a period of time. Overall the service and attitude was very disappointing and we certainly will advise friends if they are thinking of going not to. We like Barwon Heads but this has left us with a...
