Please stay away from this place. We placed an online order via aroma of India's website at 6:15pm and received an automated message that the food will be ready by 6:25pm. I went to collect the food at the restaurant by 6:40pm..there was quite a few people waiting for their orders and so I kept calm and patiently waited and expected for someone to call my name once the food was ready. During this while, I did observe people around me were loosing their patience as their orders weren't delivered. Around 7:00pm i checked with the person at the reception about my order and was told to wait for 15mins. I waited until 8:00pm and when I checked again. I was told that they hadn't received my order. What I experienced was total arrogance from every single person working there and no solution provided apart from a 'SORRY' just said for the sake of it. When I asked for a refund, I was told that can't refund as they didn't receive any order. I showed them the confirmation email that I got from the restaurant and didn't seem to be moved by it. At last we had to raise our voice to get the money back.
The most frustrating act was asking me to wait after confirming my order name and then coming back and saying 'no order received' after almost two hours of waiting. Secondly, their expectation that I would walk out of the restaurant after paying $40 and 2 hours of mine without any complaints. One of the worst customer service I have experience from the...
Read moreSo Friday night we decided we'd order some Indian delivery which we don't usually do we'd rather save the 5 bucks and pick it up but we wanted to have a few drinks so delivery it was. Ordered at 7:07. Told it would be delivered at 7:52. Bit above average but sure whatever. 8:15 rolls around and nothing so thought we'd give em a call. 23 times over the next 45 minutes. Voicemail everytime. Finally got onto them at 8:45 ish and honestly not even that annoyed that it's taken so long coz we were drunk and we didn't really care which was lucky for them, they assured us that it was on the way. 9:00 and kind of annoyed now, called again and got the excuse that they had hit a booze bus and got drug tested and it was still on the way. 9:18 it arrived. Yes folks that's 2 hours and 11 minutes record breaking time for Indian to be delivered. But I won't write a bad review just because it took so long. When we did finally get our order, it was amazing. Delicious samosas and amazing curries. Had butter chicken and lamb madras. The naans were a bit soggy but that's probably to be expected when it takes 2 hours to get to you. Amazing food but wow did it take a while. Did get two free cans of drink out of it though. Honestly if I was hungry and sober I'd be a lot more annoyed than I am but yeah. Wouldn't reccomend the delivery service. Foods great though. It's a 2.5 stars. Couldn't give them the 3. Five star food at zero...
Read morePathetic. One of the worst experiences that I have had in recent past. Let me share the whole experience. We were 6 people including 2 children 5 & 6 years old respectively. We were given a cosy corner to sit which was good, and that was the only good thing about that evening. The guy came to take the order almost 10 mins after we had been seated. We asked the guy to bring a Daal Makhni and a naan first for the kids and then serve us the rest of the order. The order came almost after 25 mins and that too after reminding two times and after 2 trips to the reception desk. No cutlery was served before the food came. The guy actually bought the plates only when we reminded that we would need cutlery and plates to eat what was served. Now , lets talk about the quality of the food. Daal makhni had no salt, was bland and tasted nothing like daal makhni. The naan.. it was the worst part. They do not make the naan in house....they actually serve you the naan that you get in coles or some other afgaani stores. It was horrible. We had to go back after eating only rice and what they said was Daal makhni. Wouldn't recommend this to any north india food lover....
