Review: The Incredible Shrinking Fish

I ordered the grilled fish expecting something that resembled, well, a fish. What I got looked more like a fish’s last regret. This thing was so small I had to squint to see it, and so dehydrated I considered offering it a glass of water out of sympathy.

The texture? Imagine chewing on a fish-flavored potato chip. The flavor? Somewhere between “ocean breeze” and “forgotten campfire.” It was so dry I’m pretty sure if I had rubbed two pieces together, I could have started a small fire.

To be fair, the grill marks were lovely—if only there had been more fish between them. I’d say I’ll order it again, but I’d have to find it first.

Came out with family tonight for dinner and have found our new favourite pub. The staff are nice and the parmas are awesome! Started with an entree of cheesy garlic bread which was absolutely beautiful, only complaint was that there were no entree plates and we couldn't find the serviettes, would be good to have a little serviette holder on the tables. I had the Mexicana Parma, others had the Stockman Parma, the ceaser Parma and the seafood basket. Every Parma was amazing, the chips weren't greasy and were seasoned beautifully and the salad was dressed with a really lovely honey mustard dressing. Didn't have a very good experience here. I asked for an amendment on a menu item because I was unable to chew properly from a tooth removal, and happy to pay the price, however the waiter and owner did not want to offer assistance. The only thing I could have was a side of mashed potato. After ordering and sitting down we realised that there was Pumpkin soup on the specials board which was not offered to us when ordering. My husband got the pork ribs which he did enjoy however on his last couple bites, found a very long hair through his food. The mashed potato that I ordered was very dry. The Pumpkin soup was presented very well however did not have any flavour that I was using a fair amount of salt to try and eat it. Lastly, we then found that our water cups had pink...
