Cafe Taj Express — Restaurant in Victoria

Had dinner here with 3 friends last night and we all loved it! The food was all very tasty and so very reasonably priced, and the service from the man running it was fantastic. He was very helpful, answered our questions, offered to package anything we couldn't finish to take home with us, and was very friendly all while busily dealing with many customers all by himself. I can see why people are loyal customers, and he should be very proud of the outstanding food and service he provides. It may not be an overly expensively and fancily decorated place, but it was very clean, comfortable and had an amazing beautiful vine plant growing up the wall and across the ceiling! And the atmosphere was warm, friendly and inviting, making everyone feel comfortable and happy. That's a 5 star place for me, and the food was 5 star also....

I recently visited Cafe Taj with my wife. I had a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this place. I was surprised that they make fresh sugarcane juice as well. We had one and it was so amazing. They offer the best of food that is absolutely clean. We got a chance to see pictures from different places in Nepal, especially Darchula. As the owner was Nepalese, we had a great time with him. We had freshly cooked naan bread and Puri which was fabulous and tasty. I remember eating back in Nepal. I appreciate their warm hospitality and is undoubtedly quite delicious.

Best pranthas we have ever had. Owner and operator (Mohan) is such a hard working person and made us fresh pranthas that were really good. Read some of the negative reviews and to be fair its a Cafe and menu is not extensive but food tasted really nice and fresh. No food colouring was used as most Indian restaurants do these days. We visited this Cafe for the first time as we were just travelling by and to be honest didn't expect the great quality food that we were served. Small business who takes pride in their work. Will highly recommend to anyone whose after yummy pranthas...
