Lavish Specialty Coffee — Restaurant in Victoria

I recently visited Lavish on high street and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with cozy seating, soft lighting, and a pleasant background playlist that made it easy to relax.

The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They greeted us with a smile and were happy to make recommendations when we weren’t sure what to order.

We ordered almond cap, and it was perfectly brewed—rich, smooth, and served at just the right temperature. The avocado toast and lamb burrito was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they use quality ingredients.

What stood out most was the attention to detail and care in both service and preparation. Prices were reasonable, especially given the quality, and the overall experience felt personal and welcoming.

Breakfast consisted of microwaved eggs (scrambled for my partner and poached for me) Basically inedible microwaved bacon. And rock hard cold toast. We were provided with steak knives to eat and now I know why. Considering the amount we payed and that we could have cooked it better ourselves at home, it was disappointing. Perhaps consider pan cooking as I have had better cooked breakfasts in 3rd world countries. On the other side the staff were lovely and the coffee was good but I would not recommend and will not...

Positives - friendly ladies, delicious lemon slice. Sorry, but I can't say the same about the coffee (the main reason we came here) - burnt tasting, really average, anything but "speciality" - very disappointing, didn't want to finish it. Axil Coffee sign up inside - maybe some time spent training with the roasted bean supplier might be the go to improve the standard. Four stars is v generous, when speciality coffee is the name the product should be considerably better...
