Update 22/2/2022: the quality has dropped to an all time low, so disappointing, portion size had been cut in half, chips aren't seasoned, it was barely warm at best, If this was my first impression 8 years ago, I'd never go back.
2020 review: I spent my uni years living down the road and eating here more often than anyone would recommend and loved it. It was the best chicken and chips with gravy you could possibly imagine. Then a couple years ago, something happened and I had a string on bad orders, soggy chips, dry chicken, watery gravy. I was pretty disappointed. No other store was anywhere near as good as these guys used to be. Then today, in the area running errands, I decide to give it another shot, low and behold, they are back to their former glory, rich thick gravy, crisp fresh chips, perfectly cooked chicken. The single best chicken and chips I have ever had is back. I now live 20+minuets away but I will be making that trip as much as I can. If they remain consistent like I remember in my early 20s, this is the best, you will not...
Read morelet’s start off on a good note. food is alright, lovely chips and gravy, along with lovely scollop potato. slices and both the greek and fruit salad are to die for. unfortunately though, there are quite a few downfalls i’ve seen for this place. to start off with many times i’ve gotten my food it’s been cold, also quite overpriced for what i could get at another chicken place. staff can be quite rude and seem as if they don’t care about food quality. the place doesn’t seem overly clean either, it seems quite rundown, unhygienic (unclean surfaces, fly spray sprayed around food which as i could see would be a health and safety issue). to continue on there is an older looking guy that works there, unsure if he’s staff or the owner but coming off in my experience of being in the place, he seems quite creepy, extremely close to all the staff in an unprofessional way.
but to conclude this. the food is amazing but i wouldn’t be surprised if this place does get...
Read moreI would have to say i just spent $50.00 on literal disgust. The chicken was extremely dry that it was hard to swallow without a coat of mayonnaise. The scallop potatoes were so under cooked we could not even bare to try and swallow them, they were raw, dog enjoyed them though. The roast pumpkin & potatoes have just got no flavour to them whatsoever. I honestly don't know how you have any clientele. If I wasn't on the other side of town I would have came back and demanded a refund, now instead I will never return nor will I ever refer anyone to the chicken Ranch. Complete disappointment & over priced for the quality of your food. Hopefully in the near future you could ensure your food is served to perfection as it should have been in the first place. Good luck for the future & as per your response to the review under me I have called & left feedback before telling the world. P.s. this is what a review...
