I rarely eat domino’s. To much bad experience from work events where staff were begging for better wages and work conditions but the management blurted out some propaganda about being family and said “Hey we respect you guys so much! Here’s some pizza!” Which is always domino’s. Even when I lived and worked overseas this was the case. WhY is it always Domino’s!?
I had recently purchased a gaming console and had begun to distance myself from household chores such as cooking. One evening my wife said she was working late ‘can you make dinner?’
In my panic I struggled what to do. Do I abstain from vital hours of Elden Ring and cook dinner? Suddenly a light bulb moment hit me! DOMINO’S!!!
I downloaded the app onto my phone. No sign in necessary just order your pizza and be done with it! The store cooking the pizza and arranging the delivery would be the wendouree store on howit street. I arranged for a delivery (a single Hawaiian pizza) shortly before my wife finished work. Shortly before arrival I received an automated phone call from a robot stating my dinner had almost arrived.
The delivery driver was prompt. No small talk. Just ‘here is your receipt’ I respect an individual so dedicated to their task. The delivery was precisely on time to the nanosecond.
I prepared the pizza at the dinner table with lit candles and on a fancy platter. I also scattered some oven trays about the kitchen and sacrificed a tin of pineapple. I had to make it look like I had made the pizza myself or my wife may become suspicious.
Upon the arrival of my wife she first seemed surprised and skeptical I had managed to conjure up a meal on such short notice. When inspecting the pizza she said it looks like domino’s. I skipped over an answer and said let’s relax and enjoy some fine pizza. I would never lie to my wife straight to her face.
The pizza was surprisingly good. The dough/ base was cooked beyond the domino’s standard and the tomato paste actually had some complexity to it. Not the typical cardboard you get from Domino’s. The wendouree store must have hired the finest pizza chefs at their store.
I think I got away with providing my wife with a simple meal. She made no further comment about whether it was Domino’s and stated it was delicious.
All up I only lost about 5 minutes of Elden ring time placing the order. 3 minutes collecting the pizza from the door. 1 minute setting the table and messing up the kitchen and 20 minutes enjoying dinner with my wife.
Now back to playing my...
Read moreI think i’m finished with dominos. I would consider myself a frequent customer of dominos wendouree. I order at least once a fortnight, sometimes every week, so i would even argue that i should be considered a valued customer… but that clearly isnt the case. I’ve been ordering from there for years, and almost every single order has arrived with toppings missing, and most add on’s forgotten. Its annoying when i have to pay an extra $6-$7 for 2 extra toppings, and then i just dont get them, essentially throwing money down the drain, but for a long time i forgave this because the pizza was cheap enough that i would still order from them despite these problems. However as time has gone on dominos has been steadily increasing their prices, to the point where i can hardly ignore it when they CONSTANTLY get my orders wrong. I resorted to writing in the delivery instructions to double check that my extra toppings were included. I even called to complain numerous times, i did not request a refund or a new order to be sent out, i simply asked that they actually give me what i’m paying for when i order. And yet here i am still getting an incorrect order. Its honestly so absured that when i order from dominos and i start editing my pizza, i have to genuinely consider if my order is too complicated for them and knowing i’d just be throwing money away, and yet they have the GAUL to continue increasing their prices. Like they actually think they deserve a more money for this low quality, over priced food qnd they cannot even give you the order you asked for 80% of the time. After all this time i think i’m actually finished with dominos for good. They were only good for their deals and cheap pizzas, but now they’re asking for far too much, and have done nothing to deserve it. If i could send one message to every man woman and child who reads this review, i implore you do not even walk inside of dominos wendouree, they will not provide you with good food or convenience, they do not deserve your money. You can get far better pizza for a more reasonable price literally anywhere else, and chances are they’ll actually give you what you ordered unlike dominos wendouree. After years of faithful consumerism i am never going there again, and i suggest no...
Read moreI would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Matthew Harbour the manager and his diligent team for their exceptional efforts during a particularly busy Friday night rush. I had placed an order for 7 pizzas and 3 sides, and to my amazement, the order was ready for pickup within an impressive timeframe of just 15 minutes.
The workers at this establishment were nothing short of outstanding. I was particularly impressed by Zak Mullins, who displayed an incredible level of skill and alacrity as he sliced the pizzas with his "lightning hands". Additionally, Jack Hayes was incredibly approachable and personable, making for a pleasant overall experience. While I have not had the pleasure of meeting Alex Morton in person, I must commend him for his consistent exceptionalism. His dedication to his work is truly impressive and it shows in the quality of his output. I must also give credit to Harrison Mason, the "Delivery Expert," who goes above and beyond to ensure that each and every customer receives their pizza hot and fresh. It is truly remarkable to see him peddling with great speed on his eBike, determined to make every delivery a success. These four individuals are a true asset to their team and a testament to the importance of hard work and dedication in the workplace.
I found the service at this outlet to be nothing short of exceptional. I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of the team, who went above and beyond to deliver a truly memorable dining experience. Matthew should consider my request to let Zak have the 25th of August off though....
