I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I had to share my recent experience. My husband and I have been visiting this restaurant for quite some time now, and we’ve always loved it so much that we happily drive all the way from Melbourne just to enjoy the food here. It’s always been one of our favourite spots — not only for the quality of the dishes but also for the warmth and consistency we used to experience every single time.
However, during our last two visits, we both felt a noticeable change. The food didn’t have the same freshness, presentation, or flavour we’ve always looked forward to. It seemed like it was prepared with less care than usual, which was a bit disappointing, especially after driving such a long way.
We also noticed that the young Italian chef who used to cook our meals so beautifully wasn’t there anymore. He always prepared the food with so much love and attention to detail — every plate he served felt special. His cooking was truly the reason we kept coming back.
If he’s no longer part of the team, we’re genuinely sad to hear that. We would really appreciate it if someone could share his contact details, as my husband and I would love to thank him personally for the many great meals and experiences he created for us.
We still hope to see the restaurant bring back that same charm and quality we’ve...
Read moreI had the $25 eggs, Benedict.l noticed the Blonde Woman change a bin and not wash her hand 1st off. After eating the first egg I took one bite of the second one and had to spit it out. The egg was bad and inedible. Our coffees came just after the food( because we enquired where they were) and we had to ask for sugar and teaspoons. When I approached management for a refund ( as nothing was offered, except an apology from a waitress: it wasn’t her fault). Management didn’t offer a replacement meal or my money back. She said she would give me half my money back. I explained to her that l felt sick and felt a full refund was warranted-The blonde, curly head woman( Manager / owner rolled her eyes at me and explained I’d already eaten half the meal. She got an attitude with me - l asked her to drop her attitude and refund my meal. She told me she would do it this one time. As if I’m going back to get food poisoning again? I’m just curious what the outcome would’ve been if I had the bad egg first would you still thought I deserved half a refund. I do not recommend this place. The management was rude and the food was disgusting Customer service from management...
Read moreMy friend and I came here to gusto for a little catch up lunch, I ordered at the counter and my friend ordered on the QR code on our table.
My food came out very quickly and was delicious, my friend ordered the same food, salt and pepper calamari, yet hers hadn't come out yet and it'd almost been 30min.
I went to the counter to ask why it's been so long and they responded "sometimes with online ordering it can take awhile, but its being made now" which i thanked the lady at the counter for, then returned to our table expecting her food to come out in the next 10 minutes.
25 to 30 minutes later and the food is still nowhere to be seen. My friend then went up the the counter with the receipt on her phone for proof of purchase. They then apologised and said it didn't process and is being made now. Despite the fact they said it was being made when I went up and asked.
The organisation was lacking, forcing my friend to wait for her food while I have already finished mine.
The customer service was very professional and polite, it was just disappointing...
