There is a reason this was voted Geelong’s #1 wedding venue. Katrina And Jason at Industrie 26 are nothing but phenomenal. You will not regret having your function here. We had our wedding Ceremony and Reception here on Friday 2/8/2024 and this was our experience: Amazing communication during planning, very upfront, any questions we had, we got an answer back straight away. Trin and Jason made this experience the most easy and stress free wedding ever. Beautiful industrial aesthetic with natural plants meaning you don’t need to worry about many decorations because the space is already beautiful. They completely set up for the ceremony for us, including the decorations we were able to store there the day before, they moved the furniture for us after the ceremony and also packed everything up for us too, including packing up and locking up our decorations and gifts after the event so we could pick them up the next afternoon (all without charging extra fees like some venues can!) We hired their arbour and a few wine barrels from them as some optional extras (all of their hires are very reasonably priced), however they don’t force any add-ons at all, which is really nice as some venues do. This is one of the most inexpensive menus, but without sacrificing quality either. We had 6 chefs in attendance, (including my wife) and they all said the food was delicious and looked beautiful. This venue is the major reason we were able to have the best wedding ever and stay within our budget. The DJ recommendation they provided also actually gave us a $250 discount on his fees, meaning we were able to put those savings towards a surprise saxophone player to accompany the DJ for a few hours, which our guests loved! Katrina and Jase were absolutely amazing to deal with, easy to speak to if you needed to change or add something to the room. Paisley who we also dealt with prior was also wonderful to speak with in relation to our set up and all. A lot of experience and great help with events from the team at Industry26. Food was great, the grazing table, the canapés which people said were really delicious and also got very full because of how much was served. We went with the 5 pieces per person with a selection of 6 canapés. We chose beef sliders which were the crowd favourite, pork belly bao buns, selection of pizzas, sausage rolls which were a second crowd fav, satay chicken skewers and veggie spring rolls! The venue is beautiful with the rustic, industrial look which works for any event depending on your set up, but our baby shower pastel pinks, brown, beige look worked out well. The facilities are great and it’s often used for weddings so the cleanliness standard is high and they keep it that way which is nice to see. We had 50 people so it was a comfortable fit especially with everyone sitting down so plenty of seats and room to mingle if you wanted. The coffee is probably one of the best in Geelong. Guests had plenty of coffee and the reviews by them were, ‘you weren’t wrong about the coffee’ so that was a plus!! Extremely poor experience. We were visiting Geelong over the long weekend for my son's 6th birthday and went to this cafe which was recommended by our local Geelong friends. To our surprise we got there right on time and 2 mins in we started getting hounded for placing an order, we mentioned a couple times we were waiting for our friends to arrive which they did just 8 mins past the booking time. The 2-waitress no smile, no gesture or welcoming, all they wanted us to do was place the order. That really put us off. Finally, we ordered, and the coffees and food took forever. we were thinking how much hurry they were in for us to place order however to get the food it would have taken 50 mins easy. To top it off, the staff overall rude, unfriendly and we just felt so much pressure there. The takeaway coffee that I ordered in the end , I picked up and the lid was open and was about to spill on me and it was extra hot too! It was long weekend for God sake, there are families there and was raining, least you can do is be happy and try to connect with your paying customers, staff just seemed unhappy and felt like they didn't want to be there.
