We recently celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday lunch at the Telegraph and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, plentyful and enjoyed by everyone. The service was outstanding – Emily were so attentive, friendly, and went out of her way to make the day extra special for Mum. We felt so well looked after from start to finish. The Bridge room was just perfect for us. A big shout out to Rachael, function coordinator for being so accommodating with our requests. A wonderful experience that created lasting memories for our family – highly recommended Ori and Mariana Coco

Better than expected! It doesn't look like much from the outside but came in for a weekday express lunch. $21.90 got me a shiraz and a 200g scotch fillet. The dish was fairly simple but executed well. Those crispy chat potatoes with the steak, bacon, onion and butter was flavourful and well balanced. Also tried the 3 cheese potato croquettes - they are excellent! Tasty and crunchy. Other than the limited parking, had a good experience. For dinner however, it may be on the expensive side, but I'll most likely be back

The Telegraph Hotel hosted our families for mother's Day dinner. It's been recently renovated and has a up market look and feel. Service was prompt, polite and helpful. The menu wasn't extensive but satisfied our group. I had the gnocchi, which was lovely, others had the chicken parmigiana which was OK, chicken scaloppini which was good and nasi goreng which was ok. Desserts were OK, however somewhat underwhelming. It's on the expensive side of pub dining, however it's worth a visit.

I recently celebrated my birthday at an extraordinary restaurant, and I cannot express how amazing the experience was. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that instantly made us feel right at home.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration was truly special.

Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at this restaurant is a culinary delight, offering a diverse range of GF options to suit every palate. We started with appetizers that were bursting with flavor, and each bite left us craving for more. The presentation of each dish was a work of art in itself.

For the main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes, each prepared to perfection. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors were simply exquisite. Whether it was the succulent seafood, tender steaks, or the vibrant vegetarian options, every dish left us in awe.

What really sets this restaurant apart, besides the exceptional food and service, is the ambiance. The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting, making it a perfect place for a special celebration. The attention to detail in the decor, lighting, and music all contribute to a truly immersive dining experience.

I cannot speak highly enough of the attentive and knowledgeable staff. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure that everything was impeccable throughout the evening. Their expertise in recommending dishes and pairing them with the perfect wine made the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, my birthday celebration at this extraordinary restaurant was an unforgettable experience. The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a beautiful atmosphere created an evening that surpassed all expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a remarkable...

To say that we were disappointed with all aspects of our experience at the telegraph for dinner would be an understatement. Service, quality of food and attitude (mainly management) were well below our expectations. Drinks After 15 minute wait went to bar to order to be told it was table service, but I’ll take your order, which the waitress did. Entree Calamari was great, would recommend if your game to go there The Cauliflower entree was dry, tasteless and not great. Mains Crispy skin pork belly was missing the “crispy skin” Chicken scaloppine was a watery affair, tasteless with mushy over cooked potatoes propping them up. Wine After initial drinks on arrival a bottle of red (nice quality and $$$) was ordered. After 20 minutes went to bar to track down as our “mains” had arrived. Wine arrived only for waitress to pour into white wine glass that still had white wine remnants in it. This pointed out only for waitress to say “oops” and then pour into the fresh glass that she had bought out for us. Unbelievable As we tried to leave and pay management who was obviously not having a great day ignored us until a whistle and a wave to gain his attention ( he was all of 2 metres away) finally acknowledged us and gladly took our $$$ Gunna be hard to go back, disappointed as the Old Telegraph was a...

I used to come here for dinner fairly regularly ten or so years ago when I lived in Geelong and always enjoyed the meals.

The Chicken Parmigiana with chat potatoes was my *regular". Obviously things change over time and I was disappointed to not have the same chat potatoes and brilliant house made pepper gravy I once enjoyed, but thats life.

I was more disappointed with the fact I called ahead to make a booking (which I had always done back in the day) and was told I didn't need to with only a party of two)

We turned up an hour or so later to be asked if I had made a booking, from not one but two staff. One being fairly rude who I assumed may have been the manager of front of house. I tried to explain that I had called and my name was not taken nor a booking made and was quickly ushered off to the side.

Overall the food wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't fantastic like I remember and the initial greeting and communication between staff regarding the booking / not booking definitely left a lot to be desired. If it was the only place in town you'd be happy enough to know you'll get an okay meal and okay service however it definitely does not live up to its...
