Keppel Cafe Marysville — Restaurant in Victoria

Drove for almost an hour and had our first pit stop here at Keppel Cafe amidst a wide choices available across.

Friendly and easy going staff of this modern cafe and apt seating inside and out available with wide array of food and beverages available in the menu. Real quick service, very clean washrooms, which was amazing surprise as the restaurant was going on at good pace. But food is the highlight here so here we go :

Hot Chocolate : Really amazing hot chocolate, creamy, thick and richness in every sip.....In this drizzly weather, hot 🍫 ☕ came as such a breather. Yummy

Big Breakfast : You gotta be really hungry to eat that and we really had to satisfy our hunger pangs and this one loved absolutely up to our expectations. 2 eggs sunny side up served on sourdough bread, hit the spot......Served with Sausage which was cooked to perfection accompanied by mushrooms and greens sauted in butter (think they're par-boiled beforehand as the serving time was phenomenal fast) and tasted so good....It the thing which you say hey I could have made it all in home but that happens once in 3 months, so absolutely worth it.

Spanish Chorizo Omelette : Absolutely loved the omelette and the flavors imparted by chorizo. Served with sourdough toast (slightly burned 1, could have been changed but tbh I was like let's not get the rhythm broken) and wonderful relish. If simple ingredients can have best of flavor, this technique is very well applied by wonderful food production team.

We were happy when we left, says it all that the onset has set the day well for us. Highly Recommended to come here and tantalize your taste buds. I will return with friends and...

What a Surprise!!! On a sunny Monday when we came to Marysville for lunch with another couple. The well-known restaurants were closed. So, we had to find a venue that was open for business. The Keppel Cafe was open, so we went in. We were not impressed by the venue's "interior atmosphere", but we were hungry, so we asked for menus and sat outside. What a surprise !!...We ordered the Eggs Benny (Good), B.L.E.T (Good) and Keppel Big Breakfast with scrambled eggs (VERY Good !!!) Given the venue's interior environment we did not anticipate such satisfactory meals, especially the size and quality ingredients of the Keppel Big Breakfast (highly recommended !!!). However, it was disappointing that there is ONLY ONE toilet for the entire restaurant, making it necessary to "queue up"...NOT acceptable !! However, I prefer to remember the amazing Keppel Big Breakfast rather than...

Visited on Easter Saturday so it was very busy and understandably there was a 30 minute wait on food. However, after patiently waiting, the food came out and we laughed at the amount of chips on the plate. It was actually quite funny for the price of a $28 dish. We asked the person on the cashier (manager?) if there should be more chips and she responded with “uh, that’s how much there should be.” That was not the response we expected so we called it out… Other customers were definitely getting a more reasonable portion.

Gold star for customer service lol - they did not own up to their mistake and hoped that we wouldn’t kick up a fuss.

The food was actually good and the ambience was nice but it was a pretty disappointing experience to get lied to and dismissed like that.
