Mario's at San Remo — Restaurant in Victoria

WITHOUT ANY EXAGGERATION, one of the most exceptional restaurants my family and I have been to! I want to say the photos prove it, but the truth is, the taste of everything we tried was beyond expectations!

I have eaten my fair share of chicken scallopini over the years, but this was something else! The soft tender chicken cooked to perfection with the mushroom sauce of perfect consistency and seasoning was a melt in your mouth combination. The accompanying mash to each dish, no faults. My father is a harsh critic when eating out, especially when it comes to steak. But not even one negative comment. I've never seen him thoroughly enjoy his steak - cooked exactly how he ordered it.

The service, including that of Mr Mario was outstanding - welcoming, friendly, patient and very efficient. We even went in for a dinner session during peak hour (full house) and we did not wait long at all for great quality food! Compliments to all the cooks! The perfect way to end our trip! We will be back for more Mr Mario!

The restaurant itself is clean, cosy and modern, with a very authentic Italian vibe!

Had a lovely dinner at Mario’s at San Remo with friends, and I can confidently say they truly know what they’re doing when it comes to authentic Italian food.

The highlight of the night was the prawn linguini with Chorizo sausage & Olive oil — ★★★★★. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the prawns were fresh, juicy, and full of flavour. The sauce tied it all together beautifully. If you’re going to eat here, do yourself a favour and order the pasta, it’s their specialty, and they absolutely nail it.

The chicken scallopini — ★★★★☆ — was also quite good, served in a creamy, savoury sauce with tender chicken. A well-balanced and enjoyable dish.

We also tried the steak — ★★★½☆ — which was okay, but didn’t quite match the quality of the other meals.

The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy a good meal with family or friends.

Overall, a very enjoyable experience. I’d definitely come back, but next time, I’m going straight for the pasta...
