Very bad experience with an old man, who makes coffee. I am fully pregnant and visited the beach as a stress buster. Then we planned to have a lovely lunch from one of the beach sides cafe. Accidentally, I locked myself in toilet while using the loo. Idk exactly what happened but I tried to turn the knob in all directions and pulled the handle, but I couldn’t open it. Maybe it’s my fault and baby brain playing. But, all of a sudden, I felt dizzy and tachycardic in that small toilet. Toilet was situated in an isolated area. So I banged the door and yelled for help, assuming someone can help me before I pass out. This old barista came and opened the handle from outside easily and talked very offensively that i shouldn’t bang the door unnecessarily. I tried to explain and apologise and thank him with a smile but he didn’t even listen and walked away yelling that I should know how to use the handle to open the door, as if I don’t know that. I wished he should ve seen my stage and at least be a little bit empathetic. The other girl who stood near to him seems to be nice, and I was looking hopefully to her eyes to get some warmth because I was so panicked and embarrassed but she had a non bothering look on all these issues. Maybe she’s scared of this man, not sure owner. Food was below...
Read moreVisited with a group of friends. I ordered the lamb shoulder pulled meat Souvlaki. The shoulder lamb was very dry and appeared to have been cooked days earlier. I could be wrong. This could have easily been easily remedied by keeping the meat moist or by adding a small amount of gravy to the meat. I hope the people who run the restaurant/cafe take note of my recommendations, as it is a great place to eat, with a great atmosphere, and very good hosts.
My souvlaki, as you would be aware was a wrap. The wrap had been wrapped in foil, then a paper wrap and then the souvlaki wrap itself. To keep it hot and nutritious. After the meals were served, they then offered salt and pepper to those who needed it. Well salt anyway. Me being a senior would have loved salt on my meal. To go through three lots of wrapping, made the choice of salt impossible. Perhaps the offer of salt could be made when the order is accepted? This is the second review of a cafe/restaurant in a row, where salt and pepper appeared to be an optional extra and not freely available on tables. Is this the new dining etiquette?
All other members of my group appeared happy with their meals, and food on display looked yummy. I hope to visit again with...
Read moreWe went this morning for a meal. Food was average nothing to rave about however definitely not bad. However service was atrocious, we were confused with the ordering process so went up and ordered but when asked for a table number we explained we didn’t have one and hadn’t found a table yet. The guy taking the order was blunt and unhelpful and didn’t give us a number or anything. So we went and found a table with a number on it and went up to explain where we were sitting. The same guy that was taking the order said in a rude tone that he had given us a number (which he hadn’t). We then got our food and when our drinks came the same guy that took our order slammed the drinks on the table and walked off. We understand they were busy and that everyone has bad days however it ruined the meal for us. Definitely will not...
