Potato cake review: a light batter with a medium potato slice inside, I’m not certain if these are made in house by the shop. The potato to batter ratio is good, the medium slice is soft and well cooked.
The batter has a nice light crisp, but not the super crunch you usually get with homemade potato cakes.
No comments about the oil freshness as there was not enough evidence to confirm if fresh or old. Tasty chicken salt was a standout though.

Read moreWe've been coming here regularly for over two years now (my partner for longer), and I can honestly say we get the best fish and chips I've ever had. The quality is consistently good, and that's rare for fish and chip shops.
TBH, I haven't ventured much from the usual flake, chips, potato cake and the odd scallop. Twice I've had a chicken souvlaki and they also, were superb. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Better than the Kebab van in town that everyone seems to rave over.
