March 15th we celebrated my mum’s 80th bday. I had looked for months at venues and none really delivered the right things for what was needed. I wanted a place where it wasn’t too loud but also not so quiet you felt like people would overhear you. I wanted a place that would look wonderful as a back drop to all our photos. Wanted great food and service. Wanted a place that felt intimate, cozy and easily accessed since we would have an older crowd there. I cannot tell you enough about how The Lincoln delivered above all expectations.

Callum the Manager was beyond accomodating, professional, helpful and friendly. He made the booking and all party related items easily addressed.

We had a large table in the large and private dinning hall. When you walked in we had one long table and with a few decorations it looked STUNNING! We also reserved the lounge area where there is leather chairs. It served as the arrival area for guests to gather and have a drink before dinner. They allowed us to decorate it. The area is very stylish, great ambiance, and intimate space. Perfect for a group of 20-30people.

Every guest commented how the food was wonderful. Quick to serve a large group of 20. Soft music playing while we ate and the temperature adjusted to how our guests preferred. Not too hot nor too cold. For elderly people this is super important. We then finished off the night by cake back in the private lounge area. We weren’t charged for its use. I cannot rave enough about how this business can be used. From large to small group… just perfect. I wish I had booked it for my 50th. Perfect for weddings, engagement parties, family reunions or just a meal with a loved one.

When we came to scope out the location we saw a lovely couple having a yummy cheese board in the lounge area.

There was an option to book outside in the rear seating area. It looked very pretty at night. Because of weather we played it safe and stayed inside and I’m glad we did because it looked so stunning. They have massive black light chandeliers hanging, large curtain draped wall and beautiful windows that create a very elegant space.

Bar service was excellent and cocktails very yummy. The bathrooms are very trendy and every detail is really thought about.

5 star review isn’t enough.

Warm regards, Anita...

Been a few times to The Lincoln now and each time has been fantastic - Food absolutely spot on, a great selection of drinks and fantastic service. My most recent meal was the Parma, which was a great size and it was cooked to perfection!

I think the menu is absolutely spot on as well - Not too complex that you are paralysed with the inability to decide, but also something a bit different for those looking for something special. I can’t wait to get back and try the Wagyu steak as I have heard excellent things about it.

On the drinks side of things the range is well balanced as well, with a great selection of draught beers, a couple of RTD’s (namely Billson’s), along with a great wine and spirits range. Again, something to suit everyone’s tastes.

Finally, the premises - This place has been a lot of things over the years but I think the refresh inside has been done really well. It’s lighter and brighter now, with sound absorbing panels bringing the ambient noise down to a reasonable level. My two favourite parts are the beer garden, which has plenty of space for large groups and the cocktail lounge. Will definitely be back to sip whisky in the vintage furniture throughout the year. Only other thing to point out is the well done reception/event areas, which look amazing. Will definitely be back to host an event or two there at...

We were quietly excited that The Lincoln was going to be a great new renovated venue. From the outside it still looks like the the old place, same as the last three attempts to make something of this place. Inside looked clean new and fresh, really like the sitting room full of rugs, leather lounges and fire place. The dinning area was pretty noisy due to all the hard surfaces. The staff were friendly, plenty of them although appeared each had their specific job and not willing to deviate from this. The menu looked good but that’s where the good ended. We ordered the Parmi and the Skull island jumbo prawns. The Parmi was just average in taste and size although the price was premium. Could get a better and much larger Parmi at another hotel not far from here. The prawns presented nicely but were under cooked, still raw in places, the prawns had been sliced down the centre and was near impossible to get the meat out of the shell. Sent this dish back and asked for a refund. Then the staff returned to the table with the dish trying explain to us the Cooks excuses. Looks like the curse of this venue will continue, nit expecting this place to last the distance unless the food dramatically improves. We won’t be...

We came to this restaurant with a group of family and friends, including several kids, hoping for a nice meal out. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing from start to finish. The restaurant was nearly empty — just our table and two other couples — so we expected decent service and a reasonable wait time. But after placing our order, we waited an uncomfortably long time for our food. The kids were hungry, restless, and understandably upset. When the food finally arrived, it was underwhelming. Some dishes came out cold, others weren’t cooked properly, and the portion sizes were honestly laughable. And to top it off, they forgot one of the kids’ meals entirely, so we had to wait all over again while everyone else was already trying to eat. It’s a shame because we were really looking forward to this meal, but the poor service and food quality made it a frustrating experience. With such a quiet restaurant, there really wasn’t any excuse for how it all went. We won’t be coming back anytime soon

I'm so disappointed with our experience here as I really hoped after all the different owners of this place, they may have finally got it right. We ordered the $50 eye fillet steak, which was tender and cooked well. The sides, though, were just terrible. The green vegetables were overdone and looked like they had come from a frozen packet. The mashed potato had no flavour and was nearly the consistency of Deb potato. Vegetables were served in a chipped bowl, and the jus was quite oily and tasted like a packet gravy. The salad was very simple with no dressing. I believe that if you spend $50 for a steak that you would receive better sides than what we got. We also had to ask for salt and pepper, which arrived empty. Earlier in the day, I was at a sporting event and overheard people talking badly about the meals and that "even the Parmys were bad." I really hope that this place survives and takes on board this review and works on improving the whole experience. Photo's of our experience attached.
