Oddies is a fantastic park. It has so much to offer for an enjoyable day out. It's great for families, groups and a good place to have parties, picnics, games, swimming, playing football, cricket, playing on the parks, walking the dog, and having a lovely time with nature.
Oddies park is part of Noriel Park, which is along the Murray River. Oddies has a fantastic park for the kids, which has plenty of climbing apparatuses and fort to run up, slides, swings, and plenty of sand. There is all sorts of sensory interactive equipment to keep kids of all ages happy. Oh, did i mention it's also enclosed, so there's no escaping for families who have multiple houdinis.
There is a flying fox that is loved and enjoyed by the independent kids.
There are water fountains within the park as well as toilets only 10 meters away from the park entrance.
Once the kids or yourself get a bit over the park, the kids can grab thier scooters or bikes and go for a walk, ride or scoot along the couple kms of established concrete pathways that wiggle along the river. You can walk from oddies and access the gateway village while enjoying nature and the river.
We have even come at night with a spotlight and enjoyed a night walk looking for animal life, there is plenty of possums to be seen, and who knows what else you might find.
There is a cafe that also has another play park, it is fenced off and more suits younger kids. The grasses areas at the front sports a great place to either go swimming in the river or have a picnic. The canoe club is also here, so if you're interested in canoing, then you can join the club.
There is easy access to the park, and you can find multiple places that have bbqs, which are well maintained and clean.
Hope you enjoy a great day out at oddies Park, grab the family, or meet as a bunch of friends and enjoy this...
Read moreTruly amazing playground.
This is one of the biggest and best playgrounds we've come across and definitely a great stop if visiting Albury.
There are 2 giant cubby house style constructions. The main one had zig zagging walkways winding up to the top. Due to its massive size my 4 year old became lost in it and at first found it hard to find me again. It didn't stop her though as she continued exploring all it had to offer. Her favourite place was a hidden ladder from the top of the cubby house that went all the way down into the underground section. That's right, this playground has an underground section that the kids absolutely loved!
My 10year old loved the net swing that rotated as it swung from side to side. It was near impossible to get him off it.
There's a great rock climbing section too. Just keep any eye out as lots of kids could climb up easily, but found it hard to get back down.
Other things on offer at playground: flying fox large sand pit multiple slides musical equipment hidden path of trees two rope climbing frames
We visited this playground 3 times during our 4 days in Albury and my daughter cried everytime we had to leave.
We arrived by 8:30am each day and there were a few families already there. By 10am it was filled with familes so it's best to go early.

This playground is fully fenced, with plenty for kids to see and do. Multiple sensory style stimuli such as musical pipes and "speak and hear" two way speakers.
It sprawls over many different designated areas, including multiple sets of swings (so no one misses out!)
A stand out for us was the castle that included both ramps and mini staircases throughout from the bottom to the top. This was perfect for our toddler who is still learning the mechanics of stairs and ladders in a safe and controlled environment.
Plenty of shade and parking, plus seating for parents to...
