The Workshop Cafe — Restaurant in Victoria

Lady was incompetent when taking my order, got my order completely wrong and then when I asked about the mistakes she was a bit rude telling me they did get it right and I’m wrong for making the order, and then when my mate went after me to order, they overheard the workers openly talking bad about me and how I’m stupid, I understand that it’s never nice being confronted for a mistake but I had no negative intentions for the confrontation, I just didn’t understand why my receipt was different to what I ordered.

TLDR; rude, incompetent, disrespectful all round Place...

I would previously have described The Workshop Cafe as a hidden gem thanks to gorgeous owners and friendly staff, reliably fresh and delicious food, excellent coffee and a commitment to sustainability (using Green Caffeen cups and stocking local products).

I'd now call it a disappointment. A few short months after changing hands and everything that made Workshop good is gone....

Absolutely horrible food handling!! Never wear gloves, hairs not tied back, long nails and wearing heaps of jewellery. They alway pick your food up with their bare hands not even using tongs!!
