$22 for a take away (smallish) milk shake and slice.... * $22 *

Milkshake is actually the size of a large coffee!

The owner was nice enough to me but there was a guy who came in with about 6 kids and the door was open a bit longer then usual, partly because they asked if their dog could come in (which it couldn't and that's fine) but he was trying to work out if they were going to stay out not. The owner asked them to close the door as there were wasps outside. The door was closed and then reopened, anyway she asked I think 4 or 5 times about the door in quite an unfriendly manner to the point where he swore (about it and her manner) and left....

Anyway, it's a nice enough looking place but not a place to go with kids on a weekend or with a dog... and certainly not if you want a simple slice and milkshake at a reasonable price, did I...

No welcome great when we entered the shop. No menu and the prices are made up on the spot depending if the rude couple behind the counter likes you or not otherwise it would not be possible to pay for one coffee and one ice coffee $20. They have no idea how to make a coffee. One was burnt and not drinkable the ice coffee was warm. Small town like Alex will quickly learn not to frequent that place. Pity because it does have a good position but spoke to couple of locals about my experience and they all agreed and said about the rudeness and bickering between the couple will not make a good atmosphere. Stopped in for a coffee was greeted with rude service from the owner making us feel bad about our order. The coffee was ridiculously priced $6.5 for a 12 oz latte. Which was poorly made and burned. Could understand the price if being made by trained baristas using high quality ingredients however it is obviously not the case here. (Didn’t event tamp the coffee)

The food choices did look good though unfortunately I was not inclined to purchase due to the service & price.

Could be a cute spot with some re decorating and training if claiming...
