I was so excited to get some Ramen for lunch after a big day out with my daughter. We arrived just after 1pm but saw that they were open until 3pm so we decided to take her back to the accommodation (just around the corner) and settle her down for a nap. I arrived back at 2:04pm only to be told that they had closed their kitchen and were unable to serve me apart from the hand rolls. I wouldn't have been so sour except nowhere is it mentioned that they close their kitchen an hour before the store closes. I asked if they have it up anywhere and it was just me that had not noticed but they confirmed that it isn't really mentioned anywhere. Had I known, had it been advertised anywhere, I would be enjoying a succulent Japanese meal right now.
I am aware just how petty this is but if you have ever had the conversation with a partner about what they want for lunch and have it resolved with such clarity so quickly, you will understand how excited I was to just get a meal that they wanted and would enjoy. Now I am hungry, grumpy and still have to deal with a discussion on what to have for lunch that will likely last until dinner. For this, I'll never...
Read moreWas excited to try it due to 4 star rating in google reviews. Terribly disappointed with the food. We've been to dozens of Japanese restaurants and takeaways. Never have we ever encountered something as terrible as this. Macha latte tastes like watered down milk with fake matcha powder. And it took ages for them to prepare it given it was just us who ordered boba drinks. A fish bone got stuck between my teeth from the Una Don we ordered. The Teriyaki chicken was way salty and rise soooo soggy. We were just so hungry around the time and forced ourselves to eat it. My teens who were never been picky since birth were so disappointed. Threw out the matcha latte as soon as we were out. I could still see the disgusted look unto their faces as they were trying to eat the food. They are not usually the ones to complain and they are taught to be polite and not say anything bad about anything. So they ate it down politely. And silently commented outside Youkis. I couldnt agree more. Please double check the quality of food you serve especially the rice dishes and...
Read moreWe are regular customers at this food outlet. So as you imagine we’ve spent a lot over the years. I usually ask for 6 fresh squid sticks and other sushi rolls around $60-$70 a visit. I ordered the same 2 days ago, only to be told once I ordered and paid that the little fish soy sauce is now five cents each and if I wanted some ginger in a tub it would be $1 as opposed to just slapping some in the tray for free. considering the price of these items we already pay for, the Little soy sauce expense on top is ridiculous, and added to this three of the squid sticks I was handed were already in the heat tray half cold while I waited for the others to be cooked. When I mention these things the staff and management looked at me in a haze as if they didn’t care, so they can be assured we won’t be going back ever due to their greed and lack of customer service. The staff certainly need training on how to speak...
