Review based on visit on 23/August /2025
I've been a loyal customer of this place for a while now and have previously left 5-star reviews because the charcoal chicken used to be absolutely top-notch. In fact, we travelled all the way from Albury to Wagga today specifically to have Habibi Chicken, based on those great past experiences. Unfortunately, today's visit was very disappointing. The chicken served was clearly not fresh — the texture, taste, and even the colour inside all strongly suggested it had been cooked earlier and simply reheated. This is not the standard I’ve come to expect from this place. What’s more concerning is that I had a similar experience during my last visit. I gave it the benefit of the doubt at the time and chose not to leave a review, assuming it was a one-off issue. But now that it has happened again, it feels like a pattern. To add to that, the garlic paste we were given had a best-before date just two days away, which doesn't inspire confidence in the freshness or quality of the food being served. I did raise the issue of the chicken being old with the person who served us, and he didn’t deny it or offer any explanation or apology, which was disappointing in itself. I really hope the owners take this feedback seriously and bring back the quality and freshness that made this place great in the first place.
I have edited my previous review. My review where i gave 5 star in 2023 is given below
Review in 2023 Below
I am a fan of charcoal chicken and have had food from Eljannah in melbourne and sydney multiple times. I had came to wagga from albury only to have charcoal chicken from habibi chicken yesterday
When i compare charcoal chicken from habibi & Eljannah , i like the chicken at habibi more because of the marination and the chicken is not that bulky like in Eljannah
So chicken definetely tastes better at habibi chicken.
I think Eljannah has better deals..more chips, more bread (better quality Qubz at Eljannah) they have tabouli as well in the whole chicken deal at 39 . Though both are cost effective , Eljannah is better in terms of quantity
Only improvement which i would like to suggest would be customer service. We also visited Habibi chicken few months back and the customer service was top notch. But the customer service from yesterday was just average. The main manager guy was good. But the girl working there may need...

This is part of my new installation and obsession: finding quick, delicious, high protein meals while roadtripping or traveling that’s not gonna blow out your calories.
So I really wanted to love this place, especially as they had the options: “Gym Bro” and “Bulked Up” meals. The latter is basically a whole chicken, 2pita breads, large chips, and choice of sauce. We swapped out the chips for tabbouleh and they ended up giving 4 pita breads instead but that was way too much (great for guys who are bulking though).
The chicken was sadly on the dry side and pretty flavorless. The tabbouleh was underwhelming, the pita was also dry, and the sauce was too tangy and artificial. I found it hard to eat all together because of how dry and bland everything was - so while it was a lot of food and great for keeping things simple, I was disappointed at the quality. Still, if you’re seeking balanced/controlled macros, it’s a good place to try. Side note, they’re planning on adding rice to the options sometime next year so that’ll be nice.
Anyway, here’s my estimate for your macros:
Whole chicken, cooked, bones/skin removed: 600-650 X-Large pita bread: 200g each Large...

Coming from Sydney, I've been spoilt for chicken choices of the charcoal n more variety. Habibi Chicken flavour sits solidly in the top 3 next to the likes of Frangos.
We smashed a whole chicken between the two of us and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cooked to perfection, the smokey textures from the hot charcoals danced elegantly on the tastebuds in the arms of lemony sumak and exotic lebanese herbs and spices.
The side of Fattoush salad was fresh, zesty and perfectly complimented the flavours of the chicken.
Garlic was tops in flavor and not too strong, so wasn't uncomfortable afterwards.
Habibi sauce is similar to burger sauce and had a solid flavor.
Lebo bread was also top notch, soft and fresh 👌
All in all, the flavours were unique and flavourful, not like your average chicken joint by any means.
Service was friendly with a smile 😊
10/10 would eat here again!
Sorry for only one partially eaten photo lol - had heard great things and was too...
