So the Thirsty Crow has recently changed hands from a locally family owned and run brewery which was sad to see. It has been acquired by Stryda Brewing. At this stage they have retained most of the great range of Thirsty Crows and a few guest brews on tap with the addition of the Stryda beers. Some of the unique Pizzas (Such as Sunday Roast) have gone but still have a few different options on offer. Some changes in the general menu with some good small eats and mains to choose from. The Big Jimmy's Smokehouse slow cooked meats is a recent addition on weekends only at this stage. Mostly seems to be new staff and still navigating their own space in the landscape as far as knowledge and familiarity. Same large area of outdoor seating in the beer garden which is mostly under shade cover. The venue continues to have live music at irregular intervals. Will see how things play out as time goes on.

This brewery was of interest to me because I was given a can of vanilla stout to try. Nice! Therefore, while in Wagga Wagga, we decided to have dinner at this place. This place was busy on a Wednesday, people coming in for drinks and food as well. They had an amazing range of beers with many interesting flavours. The vanilla stout off the tap was amazing, tasty, and flavourful. We ordered the bacon and mushroom pizza, tasty porky bites, and beef ragout pasta. All of these were amazing. The pizza had a generous layer of ingredients, and the truffle oil accentuated the flavour to another level. The porky bites were tasty and went well with the drinks. The pasta was another highlight. It was full of flavour, generous serving, and this time, there was more meat than pasta!! Service was friendly at the bar even they were busy. Great place with an amazing vibe!

What a lovely surprise! So, We came to the wrong venue but had already parked and walked a bit and decided to stay. We ordered the halloumi Greek salad and the halloumi burger which - as vegetarians, we rated the best burger we had ever eaten. The service was impeccable and as a former manager in hospitality I was very impressed with the level of service - the waiters should be commended for this. Last - but not least I had an impressive coconut margarita which rivaled any eastern Sydney suburban bar. Would definitely recommend this brewery! Oh And I forgot…The beer was good too!!!! I don’t drink beer but was told the beer I ordered for my husband was better than stone and wood - apparently! See you next state cup touch football tities !!!!
