Absolutely terrible experience.
We booked for 6:30 for 7 people on a Saturday night. I understand it can be busy but we were told we wouldn’t even be able to place our orders for anything for at least 15 minutes due to delays in the kitchen (we had already been at the restaurant for 15 minutes at this point). We finally managed to order some entree’s after finding staff ourselves (we had to go find them, not the other way around) but our main meals didn’t arrive until about 8:00. The meals were average at best with a majority of the steaks being overcooked and poor quality. Components were also mixed between orders (Getting well done instead of medium rare).
The staff then forgot one of our mains, leaving us with six out of seven mains. When we brought this up with staff after ten minutes of waiting we were advised that the meal hadn’t been made and that it would be another long wait for the meal to be ready (upwards of 30 minutes). A staff member then offered our patron a ‘free drink’ in exchange for missing out on his meal. I honestly thought a steak and chips would not be too hard to manage in short time but the way this was handled was extremely poor.
When we went to pay for meals that had actually been served they charged us with an incorrect bar tab (drinks that weren’t ours as we paid for our drinks upfront) and didn’t offer any sort of discount for completely missing a meal. The tables are numbered. It isn’t that hard... When we brought up the incorrect charges with staff we got nothing but completely rude attitude as if we were causing some sort of inconvenience to them by not allowing them to charge us for things that weren’t ours.
This is by far the single worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I have never left a review before now but they way we were treated tonight by staff from this establishment is nothing short of disgusting. I am beyond disappointed at this experience. Read moreTonight in celebration or not of Valentine’s , as a party of 5 , we choose a local hotel for a meal. The hotel offered a set menu , that on paper read well and we thought what a great opportunity to catch up and ‘showcase’ a restaurant we have previously enjoyed to a Sydney visitor. IMAGINE the embarrassment therefore when on arrival our table was not ready .. we sat in the bar while it was cleaned for a 7pm seating .. and while doing so one of our guests caught her hand in the moving seat of the bar stool.. ouch !! Finally , after 7.30pm we took our seats at the table and it just failed further from there on.. we waited for table service to place orders , we waited an extraordinary amount of time for very average entrees to arrive .. we waited again for mains which were not cooked as ordered and one was sent back .. this meal in the end was taken home in a takeaway container - how you get a rare steak order wrong twice is beyond belief .. everyone at the table had finished their meals and STILL the rare steak was nowhere to be seen.. when the desserts arrived and the chocolate ‘fondue’ type sauce was so watered down the mixture failed to affix to the marshmallows or the strawberries - which on inspection were already well past their best we were quite honestly speechless .. the FINALE ? Well that was the bar person spilling an espresso ☕️ martini 🍸 on me ( the person who recommended , booked , failed to receive their meal and wore martini on her Italian made 100% linen pants ) .. no coming back from that .. a 50% discount on one meal does not make amends for the attitude of your staff or the appalling quality of your food and service. Read moreI had to mark a star for this review to happen. This experience was not worth any stars! Our experience at The Warwick Hotel was appalling. We had to ask to be served. We did not receive our entree’s and the children did not get their meals before adults had finished eating. Every meal had to have adjustments when brought out as they did not match what we ordered. The Parmi had elements missing that even made it a Parmi. After asking 4 times to get our entree’s they still did not arrive. I then approached the manager and discussed our horrible experience and that we were not happy with our experience. The Manager on duty was very passive aggressive and did not show any empathy towards our needs. We were no given any compensation for our overly priced meals and poor service. She replied with I hope you have a better experience next time. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL AND EVERYONE WILL HEAR ABOUT...
