I've been a customer of this place for years and was concerned when it changed hands as the food and service was FANTASTIC!
Well these new (not new anymore as it got taken over a while back) have taken it to the next level (which I didn't think was possible!) from both a food and service perspective.
The ready made rolls are truly to die for, especially the Continental (am devouring one now and feel compelled to write this review because of the taste) - I challenge you to find a better tasting, fresh, high quality and jam packed roll in Perth!
I haven't ever tried the hot foods but the smell wafting through is incredible - "my compliments to the Chef" as they say (and my guess is is that he/she is exactly that, a proper Chef).
As for the customer service, nothing is a problem - even when I always seem to turn up 60 seconds before they close the doors for the day, of which I'm guessing they're appreciative of (NOT) :-) there's always a smile and eager to please demeanour (super rare these days).
Keep up the great work guys and for prospective customers, give it a go (there's even a dine-in (including outside) section and plenty of street parking) I'll guarantee you won't regret it.
Disclaimer - no this is not a commercial nor am I being bribed with free Continental rolls to say all of these nice things :-) just giving credit where...
Read moreUse to be amazing food and value for money when it was the Dutch butcher. Have been there twice since. First time toasted sandwich was $8.50 each! And order was wrong. Second time they wanted 17 dollars for a container or lasagne. Just told them to put it back and left. Lunch bar charging restaurant prices no thanks
Reply to owners response. I'm not sure how sour dough bread is classed as jumbo but I'll play along. For starters it was a chicken and cheese toasted sandwich with extra Mayo. Guess they heard no Mayo was dry and bland. As for the 17 dollars that is 100 percent correct and where did I get that from YOUR STAFF if you class a square of lasagne that doesn't even fill half of a standed clear lunch container as a serving then I think we found the issue. And when a customer doesn't want the chips or sides and asks for just lasagne so you add another square which still doesn't fill a standed lunch container and you class that as 2 servings and charge 17 dollars that's a joke. Tate Street deli and star Street deli do a full container with free drink for 8 or 9 dollars depending which one you go to. And it's full. And no i didnt want one serving of each I wanted a lunch container of lasagne that's it. Based on the bacon and egg sandwich comment and the one of each comment I'd say you have me confused with another...
Read moreSecond time Iv been in in 3 months the first time I bought a $7 sausage roll and it was literally half cooked. Took it back and the lady was lovely she gave me my money back and said she would tell the cook. All was well. I suppose it can happen. Just been back 10 minutes ago and exactly the same thing ( meat raw in the middle). Stone cold pink. It's in the garden over the road now. If the owner wants a look. Who knows how many people this place has made sick. Time for an audit. Response to your comment Wow thank you for the name calling ( very adult of you ) I was in there on Day I posted because I have a $7 charge on my card from your shop. Happy to post the picture. And there IS a garage out the front because there used to be 2 tables in it. Happy to post the picture. When half the meat in your meal is raw and it's the second time what do you want me to do. This is the hole idea of reviewing. As for my other restaurants reviews most are good and some are simply bad. Giving a negative review gives me no pleasure. Just tell your "COOK out the back to do better. And there's no need to call...
