I am really disappointed in my experience with Mel. I ordered a cake outside of the required week, and she was accomodating to this which I was so grateful for, and Mel was helpful over the phone, however she did not tell me an approximate time to pick up. Just pick up Sunday. Upon arrival to pick up, I was told the cake was not ready, and I cannot pick up Monday as they are not open. Had I been told that I could only pick up after one, I would have not gone ahead with the order, as we had a lunch booking (booked months ago) from one. At this point, Mel was no longer accomodating, nor understanding of the situation, and when I said I was not told of timing, she was condescending and adamant that she was correct. I have now spent the car ride home in tears, and I unfortunately will not be ordering through Mel or the gluten free 4 U team again, due to this experience. Read moreWas delighted to get to this new store all the way from Fremantle and suitably impressed until I questioned my receipt after being charged $7 for a very mini vegetarian pastie given the items in the warm cabinet for some reason were not priced. The cashier confirmed that was correct because it’s vegan? Vegan vegetarian that’s a new one! Sorry won’t be back , wasn’t worth the trip to return and go past others on the way.
*Extra note - if your gluten free and also react to Tapioca in the same way - EVERYTHING has this ingredient sadly. Considering there are alternatives to tapioca ( the cheaper option) it’s additionally disappointing.

The main reason for the negative rating is that I don't think it is justifiable, this decade, to pass an EFTPOS fee of nearly 20c per $10 spent on to your customers.
Please pick up the phone to your bank and negotiate a better deal, or find a better deal with another bank.
Allowing your bank to take advantage of your customers/punishing your customers for using a payment method that is actually more convenient for you too (cash costs your business money to handle) is just lazy and bad business practice...
