Lords Recreation Centre — Local services in Subiaco

I went to lords and it was clear to me that the staff were not organized/caring about their clients and I had an appalling experience there, a group including myself decided we would sign up for the social basketball competition here as it would be fun, during the season we had a few players unable to play so we got someone to fill in and play multiple games and join our team, we tried to change our team list to which we couldn't so we asked the staff at the front count multiple times for help with this with the response each time as "we will look into it", this player who was a former employee at Lords and knew the other staff members including the basketball umpires was never added to our team list and we were never informed this by the basketball umpires or anything, we then made it to the semi finals which we won and he had filled in playing at least the minimum required 3 games to compete but as he was not on the list we were told that we played with a player who hadn't played in the minimum required games, we before the game were not informed this by the umpires or anyone that he would be unable to play, when we contested this letting lords know he had played more than the minimum games and that they could ask any of the umpires there because they knew the player we were told that they wouldn't because they are "new" to which the player informed us that he knew them and that was just a lie.

Very disappointed if this is the way the lords staff treat their community and I will not...

(Review for the cafe) Just really unreliable. Every time I've ever ordered a sandwich there, they take my money and THEN proceed to tell me that they're out of extras I already paid for, like avocado or cheese for example. Some items don't have signage on them, so I asked if the rolls I saw were in fact sausage rolls. The worker said "let me check", goes to check, then says "yes they are". I take a bite and it's ricotta and spinach. I take it back and he says "yeah we only have ricotta and spinach rolls". I don't remember an order from this cafe that has ever gone right. The coffee tastes like soy sauce so I don't know if they're burning the milk or beans or if they're just not cleaning the machine. When you factor in how overpriced everything is there, it just doesn't make any sense. One the rare occasion the food has any signage, they've listed their street tacos as "$6 each, or 2x for $12". Yes, Lords, that's called math. I've never been so bewildered by a cafe's practices and service before. It reads to me as...

Lords gym has a fantastic variety of machines and weights around the floor. Would like another trap bar. The skill mills are by far the greatest thing they have for the runner side of me. And the amount of bikes make it great for when I miss riding to work because of the rain. Also what makes it very comfortable is the staff. There is a guy who works there called Luke, hope he doesn't mind the name drop. He is a fantastic guy who has helped me, and plenty of others. With the amount of information he has and helps me on the bench press. The way he talks to you just makes you feel comfortable with what you can do and motivated. The way he never pushes his way of doing something on you, just gives his opinion shows you how to do it and let's you go from their. If you see him give him a hi. Also the effort he puts in to keeping the place clean. Ie putting the weights away when lazy members don't is very commendable.

The sauna is a fantastic thing to do after the workout. But put a clock in there...
