Cleaver Coffee — Restaurant in Western Australia

The coffee was fine to good but a 30 cent surcharge on paying by debit card... say what??? I've never hear this from a cafe before so I was taken aback and curious about what card transactions normally cost a business From the RBA: "Accepting a Visa or MasterCard debit transaction may cost a business around 0.5 -1 per cent of the transaction value" That would roughly be 2.5 to 4.5 cents on a 4.60 coffee. Where is the value for the customer? Especially since I brought my own keep-cup that would have more than offset the transaction cost and actually saved the business the cost of the take away cup and reduced their environmental impact. I noted that there was zero discount for having a keep cup. Paying $4.90 for an ok coffee in a keep-cup just doesn't sit...

The coffee here is so amazing, and it’s literally the only thing that helps me get through my classes. On my way to college I pass so many coffee places, but I wait till I get to college to have my coffee because the cleaver street coffee is probably one of the best. I come here usually on my break and the staff have always been so nice and welcoming. Definitely recommending the mocha and the iced latte! I can’t wait to try more of...
