Angry Chicken BHAITAK — Restaurant in Western Australia

Always seeing it whilst driving along leach highway but never had the time until the other lunch time. Mid week and around 1pm, no other customer in there…. was swiftly greeted by a smiling man asking what i would like. The reason I point out smiling is because sometimes people find this hard to do! I looked at the salad through the glass and it looked fresh so I opted for a chicken kebab. Just the basic with salad. Was asked whether I would like any drink etc etc - v good service, again!…. I sat and waited for my takeaway and I saw him freshly grill the chicken. He also advised me that their chicken is quite spicy and asked if that was ok - i said yes, that’s fine. When I was given my kebab - he asked if i would like some napkins - again, good service!!! I left and sat in my car and opened it and took one bite - it was deeeee-licious! The bread it was wrapped in was sooo tasty and crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy. Salad was lovely and the chicken was so nicely spiced it was a pleasant surprise. There was no grissle or chewy bits of chicken - it was cooked to perfection (for me anyway!). Businesses like this often go out of business through lack of custom, which is why I’m giving a big shout out to the young man who served me and the food that they produce. It was on a Wednesday afternoon of this week. I can’t vouch for the other menu items - but if they are as good as the kebab then you can’t go wrong. This place does food a little different - maybe a bit of fusion between indian, kebab, portuguese etc but it works! Next time, don’t drive by - stop and have a kebab! I used to visit Angry Chicken a lot, especially back when they were in Canning Vale. This place has seen many golden days when they used to sell food there, their Desi food, halwa puri, and biryani were on point, and Brandon, the owner and chef, seemed like he was pouring his heart into every dish. Fast forward to now, after they relocated, and it’s like they’ve given up. What used to be a solid 4-star joint has nosedived to barely 1 star, if I’m feeling generous.

Let me start with the halwa puri. The chollay were so salty and the halwa had more color than sugar. Well, at least they don't charge for that extra salt and that new shade of red color that they have invented in their kitchen!! Then there’s the paya; I didn’t know it was possible to make something so bland, and as a bonus, they’ve decided to replace the traditional goat trotters with random meat pieces. How innovative!

As for the service, it seems the staff have taken a page out of the "How Not to Care About Your Job" handbook. Unprofessional, dirty, and clearly not interested in whether customers come back or not. The only thing they’ve managed to keep decent is the Coca-Cola. So, if that’s what you’re after, you’re in luck. As for me, I think I’ve given this place more than enough of my business....

Angry Charcoal Chicken , First of all shout out to the dilligent and yet creative couple of Brendan and Bennetta who were behind this particular catering service that I requested for our son's first birthday. I thank you both for pulling out this superhuman effort. Everything was so exquisitely presented, deliciously cooked, elegantly packed, and professionally delivered to the venue in time, and warm enough to be served directly to our guests. I m sure you will soon be very busy as a huge number of our guests were so happy with your food and they were asking about the caterers who prepared it, and I told them about you.

Secondly, I was impressed with the way you delivered this big order with a friendly smile on your face in spite of the fact that you went astray while getting to the venue due to some miscommunication, but still you made it in time with ur usual congeniality. I thank you again for being a key factor in making our special day more cherishable.
