I don't normally like making negative reviews unless it is absolutely necessary. I would first like to say the man who served me was absolutely lovely! Welcoming, friendly, very kind. Although his nails looked like they had a fungal infection, like the majority of them. I could be completely wrong and told myself to stop over thinking it. The choc eclair I bought was good! The pepper steak pie, however was very unusual. Has whitish gelatinous stuff in it instead of gravy... Thought that might just be what they usešŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø The meat was tender. Was kind of sweet tasting though- I gave it a smell a couple of times and it smelt ok.. but it's very odd and I didn't eat it all. I decided to check the reviews and omg I wish I did beforehand 🫠 If I get sick after this, I'll know what it was from 😬

Bough a sausage roll today had one bite , I went back straight away because I believe it’s undercooked. I’ve asked explanation about that and I’ve been told the sausage has been cooked for 15 minutes at 250 degrees and I don’t have anything to worry about. I left disappointed because I think it wasn’t cooked at all, once got at home that’s was I found inside. You judge … I was feeling sick and fortunately I only had half of it. Stay away from this place it’s not the first time that this happens. You judge

Being a sorta big pie fan myself, I’ll travel to eat pies that have won awards. Any awards. The pepper pie here is just divine with crispy pastry, good size chunky meat, a nice medium pepper strength and served a temperature that doesn’t take the first layer of skin from the roof of your mouth. The sort of place you want to go back and get something warm from on a chilly day. Brrrr....feeling a bit chilly now actually.

8/1/22: Legendary Local Bakery. This little bakery has been winning ribbons and prizes consistently for as long as I can remember. I grew up around Scarborough and have been coming here for years. The pies, sausage rolls and pasties have been consistently excellent for years and I always try to get some scones if they haven't sold out. I have always found the staff the be friendly and helpful no matter how busy they get (and they do get very busy around lunchtime). A lot of the negative comments on here seem to be from the local competition, which speaks volumes. I have never been disappointed and recommend them...

Ordered a beef gravy roll as per their menu. The Asian lady, wife of the owner is down right rude. She kept us waiting whilst servicing customers that come after us who ordered from the pre-made pies and rolls counters. We understand the bakery is unstaff as only the husband and wife are servicing customers but don't keep a customer waiting and then snap at a customer when they remind you they have yet to receive their order. The husband who was servicing was fantastic but the wife needs to brush up on her customer...
