I had been for a beach swim one Friday after work and was craving a burger and chips. So, I swung by Chich on my way home.

Located on Main Street, Osborne Park, Chich is modern, funky and has a really cool atmosphere. They even have a scooter mounted on a shelf on the wall! Throw in some cool light fittings, a concrete floor and a raked ceiling and you’ve really got something. They play cool tunes too.

Downstairs and just outside the entrance is a nice courtyard with a well-kept garden, which makes for a relaxed vibe. As you make your way in, you are greeted by a Pearl Jam poster. As someone who witnessed the birth of grunge - yes, I was there 😉 - I think this is a great addition. From there you head up the steps to the restaurant and bar. The venue is well decked out and even includes an old school TV made out of wood - the type with a dial to change the channel! So, anyone who appreciates nostalgia will be right at home at Chich.

Inside, there are plenty of seating options, with some high tables and several booths. Otherwise, you can sit on the balcony overlooking Main Street. The vibe outside is really cool and it’s a great spot to watch the sunset.

The menu is great, with lots of food to choose from. There are several beef burgers and a few chicken burgers to choose from. You can also add some extras to your burger. This includes jalapenos, beetroot, bacon and halloumi. These range from $2.50 - $4.50 each, which is good value, especially as some places charge more for extras.

Also on the menu is a Balkan beef parmi, which sounds amazing. It comes with cheddar and edam cheese, house ajvar sauce, bacon, feta as well as chips and salad. Yum!

Those wanting something simple can go for the fish and chips or a salad. You can add free range chicken to the salads for $8, which is a good option.

Then there are sides like sweet potato fries, onion rings and chips. Oh, and there are spiced cauliflower wings too, which sound intriguing.

On my visit two weeks ago, I ended up having dinner in the restaurant, as I ran into some friends who invited me to join them. You order at the counter and meals are brought to your table. We were well looked after by caring and fun, friendly staff. We all got the classic cheese beef burger, which came with chips and went down a treat.

On my more recent visit, I opted for a takeaway classic cheese beef burger. This comes with beef, pickled gherkins, cheddar, Dijon mustard and tomajo and diced red onion. It’s quite simple and that’s a good thing. The flavours melded together really well, and the cheese was particularly good. To cap it off, the sauce was tangy, and the gherkins provided a contrasting flavour that finished off my burger nicely.

My chips were hot and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, so had the perfect texture.

Prices at Chich are very reasonable too. My burger and chips was $23 - great value compared to some other burger joints out there. Sides range from $13 - $23, while bites and shares will set you back anywhere between $17 and $27. And with cocktails under $20, you really get value for money.

As an aside – I took the photos of the burger and chips for this review at my place.

Did I mention drinks? Well, suffice it to say, you’ll never be thirsty here. With local beer like single fin, as well as international beers like Heineken and Peroni, you're spoilt for choice. There is also a good selection of local wines, such as Vasse Felix from Margaret River. Then there's cocktails like margaritas and cosmopolitans. To top off your night you can opt for one of their many liqueurs and digestifs, like Cointreau and Limoncello.

The dessert options look pretty good too. You can have honey cake, baklava and a couple of other choices. And of course, you can complement these with a coffee or tea of your choice.

So, whether it’s for an after-work beer or a full dinner, I highly recommend Chich. It’s got great food and a cool vibe. Put it on your list of...

Oh my my!! I’d be giving Red Chilli Burger a 110% 10 Stars or even Infiniti stars lol! I’m greatly satisfied with both the meals and excellent customer service which I’ve received from this hidden gem. I’ve actually done a fair bit of research regarding the hamburger joints in Perth prior to visiting Red Chilli Burger. After reading the reviews and looking at those wonderful images of the burgers, chips, etc, me and my bf decided to give it a go. There’s no doubt that we’ve made the right decision coming here.

We ordered: Dutch Curryage: loving the char + a touch of curry flavour of the beef patty (you can actually taste the freshness of the patty) CAB Burger: my ATF chicken tenderloin, nicely cooked and juicy - it wasn’t dry at all! Loving the avocado and of course all the ingredients which make the whole burger so flavourful. Small bowl of Sweet Potato Chips (the portion was actually pretty generous - and they gave us a little surprise by adding one normal chip among the sweet potato chip), crunchy outside and soft inside

The family members running the business were nice and friendly. One of the waiters has even offered to let us try out their hot chilli chutney and spicy mayo dips. We’re really glad to be able to taste the dips as they’re the bomb!

Tip: If you’re a fan of mixing everything in your food, try to add the normal/ sweet potato chips into your burger - it actually tastes...

Ladies and Gentlemen, take a seat, because I’m about to take you on a journey. This review will begin with a spoiler warning: if you’re worried I am going overhype this place and then you’re gonna get there and it’s gonna be only average or something, you’re wrong. This burger bar is deserving of all the hype, and honestly feel like I could tell you that this place makes the best bacon burgers you’ll ever have, and you’d still be shocked when you got there and ate this burger, because you just can’t believe that any burger could be so good. Not only does this burger taste like a flippin flavour explosion in your mouth, but it’s freshly made from top quality ingredients, which makes the whole experience ten million times better, because you know you’re actually eating real, good quality food and not some cardboard thing from the maccas across the road (Who are really nice and do good service btw, just nothing can compare to this burger, soz maccas). This burger is soul food. This burger will make you break your burger-free diet. This burger make you never want to eat another burger again, and it’ll make you drive to North Perth every time you have a burger craving, because what’s the point in eating other burgers when you could have this bacon burger. Be aware burger buying friends, your lives will be...

I have visited this restaurant several times and have always left happy. It has actually become one of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious. I have ordered various dishes, and they’ve all been great. My favorite dish is the Chicken Ala Tsar, which is wonderful and comes in a very generous portion, full of flavor. I have also tried the Sarska, made with pleskavica, a beef filled with cheese inside. When bitten into, the cheese filling flows out, creating a flavorful experience. The Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich is also delicious. Everything is very well seasoned. I’ve also tried some desserts, such as honey cake and baklava, and they were all very tasty. I’ve ordered delivery as well, and they maintain the same quality and care. The environment is pleasant, cozy, and well-ventilated, featuring a balcony/terrace with adjustable windows that can be opened or closed depending on the weather, making the ambiance even more welcoming. The staff are always friendly, receptive, and happy, which enhances the experience. Overall, this place is great for couples, families, or meeting up with friends, offering excellent options for everyone. I’ve visited multiple times, and it has always been very good, so I will definitely keep coming back for more meals. Highly recommended!

Update: Hi, first of all we received excellent customer service on our visit, the staff were friendly and attentive. I liked the turkish bread bun and the overall flavours but my burger was let down by the texture of the meat patty which I thought was overly firm, rather than juicy and tender like I've enjoyed at other burger joints - it seemed to me as though it might have been a little over cooked or overly compressed? My other half ordered the classic cheeseburger which didn't seem to warrant being $2 more expensive than my plain jane with cheese, as the only difference really was pickles (on the cheeseburger) instead of lettuce and tomato (on the plain jane). I'm not personally a fan of beer battered fries (would prefer shoestring fries) but we got some to share and I was surprised they came with a spiced seasoning (paprika I think) as this wasn't written on the menu - something to consider? My partner liked them and finished them. For these reasons I felt like overall it was not bad, but just ok. I visited on the basis of great reviews from friends, and obviously lots of people love your food from all the excellent ratings here so perhaps it's mostly a matter of personal taste on this occasion.
