Having ordered our meal through Uber Eats, our order arrived incomplete. When I phoned through to tell them their only solution was for me to drive in to pick up the missing item. There was no option for them to deliver it themselves because âeverything is delivered through Uberâ.
So although weâd paid for delivery through Uber to give me a break, I still had to drive down to the store to pick up the missing item. Which was my childâs dinner. If the missing item has been mine, I wouldâve let it go. But not my kidâs dinner!
The fault was entirely the stores: âoh yeah. It didnât get packed into your deliveryâ. Not Uber Eats. Not the driverâs. But my only recourse is to go back to Uber Eats. They refunded the service and delivery fee but that hardly seems right: they fulfilled their part of the contract. It was Chicken Treat Merriwa who were entirely at fault.
Now, this is a Process issue. Chicken Treat need processes to deal with situations like this. Staff need to be checking and double checking orders before they leave the store. They need some mechanism for getting Uber back when the store stuffs up and their compensation needs to be revisited.
By the time I got home, my food was cold and stodgy, because Chicken Treat food is best...

There are more potholes than bitumen and those potholes are the size of moon craters. It's really bad. I'm considering doing a guerilla fix it job and filling the holes myself. After I learn how to fix potholes from YouTube or something. Leaving the drive thru is always weird too. It's just so run down and dilapidated. Behind the building out to the car park part. Maybe getting the pressure hose out and giving it a clean once in a while would help? Please...
Read moreI am not sure I understand the purpose of an "online order" function and the ability to select a desired collection time if said order and collection time is ignored entirely.
If I place an order 40 minutes in advance, well ahead of the advertised "10 minute" collection, I do expect it to be ready when I arrive. I should not have to wait a further 30 minutes in-store for the food to start being prepared.
Clearly management needs to take charge here. Utterly disappointed and I wasn't alone. I noticed 3 other customers up and leave.
This establishment prioritises uber eats and menulog orders over their own...
