Lert Rod Thai Street Food — Restaurant in Merriwa

I need to share a warning: it is dangerous to order from here- the food is so good you'll be thinking about it every time you decide what to have for dinner. Or while you're cooking dinner. Or while you're plating up.

It's absolutely amazing, it's so fresh and tasty. Seems like a lot of people have cottoned on, so get your order in early!

I've tried the dumplings (which I can't bring myself to share with anyone), massoman curry (very big pieces of meat and potato, but so well cooked it cuts with a chopstick), satay sticks (I have to admit my daughter got into all of these before I could taste them, but I ate the leftover sauce on it's own), the spring rolls (they're spring rolls), and I'm about to try the pad thai and beef with sticky rice.

The restaurant space itself isn't exciting, but like a few others on the strip it absolutely delivers in it's food.

The service is great, you can tell that the team are family oriented, hard working, and keen to please.

Lert Rod Thai Street Food Restaurant is a hidden gem north of Perth, serving up authentic Thai flavours in a cozy, beautifully presented space.

We started with the fresh vegetable spring rolls and juicy satay chicken with irresistible peanut sauce. For mains, the tender fragrant Massaman curry, flavourful vegetable fried rice, and perfectly balanced chicken Pad Thai are sure to impress.

The complimentary dessert of warm, deep-fried dough balls served with pandan sauce is a delightful surprise. Friendly staff and a welcoming vibe add to the charm, and it’s no surprise Uber Eats orders were flying out the door. Whether dining in or taking away, Lert Rod is a must-visit!

We ordered spring rolls, satay chicken and 2 x serves of curry puffs for entree. Every dish was delicious. Mains we ordered Thai green curry, massaman beef curry, Pad Kee Mao with chicken and flat rice noodles and the pork skewers with sticky rice, steamed rice and 2 serves of roti. Every single dish was perfect. So nice to finally find a restaurant that serves top quality food. We are sick of going to restaurants paying a fortune only to be disappointed.
