Love love loved Cuppashack!
Was catching up with a mate Hammy Hill way and he told me to meet him here. Bingo! What a great find!
Firstly the decor is groovy. Aestethic af. Novelty and engaging! Loved checking out the hilarious signage and funky knick knacks. They use these decorated manekin dolls as table indicators which I found brilliant. I saw a range of characters that I appreciated hehe ^^
The coffee was great. Nothing more to say than a perfect cuppa. I ordered a cappuccino and the froth was perfect. Beautifully textured and firm to scoop that choccy froth up with a spoon haha
The Orange and Almond tea cake my goodness.. amazing haha, with a lil side of cream. I had to seriously hold back on devouring it in a flash. The cake!! I believe it was gluten free aswell, not a dietary if mine but hell if it mattered, delicious!!
I was intending just to have coffee and cake but my mate got himself a bacon and egg roll.. it looked that good I had to try. The genius thing is there's a bacon and egg slider version on the menu! Great idea if ya just a lil bit hungrier.
Sometimes it's just the simple things done excellently that really shine. As a self proclaimed connoseiur of bacon and egg rolls, having consumed plenty in a lifetime, it hit every spot intended for such a dish.
Overall, a bloody brilliant spot. It was quite busy when I visited but the staff were delightful and also cool and on point, a slight wait on coffee but completely understandable watching the coffees fly out to earlier tables. Be realistic folks!
When I'm back down that way I hope I they still more of that cake...
Read moreA fantastic little cafe for a quick breakfast or hot beverage. The female owner (I assume the owner) is soooooo nice. I have been here a few times over the years and I always have a good experience.
It is cozy and happy inside. Lots of outside seating. It overlooks a parking lot but it is a good spot where the IGA and post office are.
They carry bacon and egg rolls, sausage rolls, homemade cakes, savory breakfast muffins, and made to order sandwiches.
Today I got a made to order vegetarian breakfast wrap with eggs, cheese, avocado and spinach. It had a sweet BBQ sauce which I forget about the Australian palate when it comes to sauces. Or I would have said no sauce. It's still good, everything is fresh and hot.
I love supporting local businesses - and I hope that when you fellow Yelpers see my review that you come there to check them out. Very nice people and quality food. I can't speak for the coffee but lot of people are drinking...
Read moreCuppashack Coffee Lounge gets the star rating from me because it gives the Hilton, Hamilton Hill, Beaconsfield shopping precinct something different than just a boring café. The owner has gone to a fair bit of trouble to spruce up the interior with an interesting collection of popular culture merchandise strategically covering the walls. It is rather simple in terms of design yet effective. There are music videos playing softly in the background on a screen. There is writing on the wall of interest as well. Normally, these suburban cafés are rather dead to any points of interest so people drink their coffee and leave. This lounge feels a bit more homely to me. The service is consistently good and the ambience has that something extra that gives the shopping complex a definite vibe. That's pretty cool. If only more cafés took a leaf out of their book. Show some imagination guys. This place gets five...
