The Cafe is nicely set out with a lovely alfresco area. We ordered the pancakes and a full breakfast (bacon, eggs poached tomatoes, toast) $28. It took a long time for the food to arrive and unfortunately the pancakes were burnt, very thin and small. We did tell the waitress and she let the Chef know and they cooked some fresh pancakes. The cooked breakfast I had was fair. The poached eggs over cooked, toast was rock hard, not enough butter, so small things but not worth $28. Overall a pleasant experience but the quality if the food is definitely a bit overpriced. RESPONSE to owners comments below : Ron, I considered adding another star to my review however, the dining experience, for me, remains the same. In response to the points made below.... I didnt talk to you after eating there. In fact, nobody came near our table again after replacing the pancakes. We also missed that the pancakes were kids portion for $13. So because they're for kids I guess burning them is justifiable ? Curious. My poached eggs were overcooked and I ended up giving them to my son to top up his meal as he was hungry so yeh we got through the food eventually from hunger but noone came back to our table or spoke to us again or checked in to see if the pancakes were better. I spent over $60 at 1.30pm and there were 4 other tables with diners so fairly quiet. Clearly everyone was terribly offended. It seemed as though the food had been sitting under the heat lamp and dried up. Bacon, toast, eggs all dried out. Reviews are a good way to maintain quality assurance and responding with empathy on a public platform will work in your favour. It shouldnt be an issue and a chance to fine tune. What I do have an issue with is you ringing me in the evening tonight whilst I was in the cinema. I didn't answer but rather asked the unknown number to text and I'll respond when I'm free. You then sent a message that "I need not bother but because we are both local businesses owners I should take down my 1 star rating" in a very threatening tone. Look Ron, I don't mind discussing this amicably on a public platform but it's a bit creepy that you rang me this evening then sent a threatening follow up text. Why do I need to change my review because I am a sole trader working in a similar area ? What are you gonna do to me ? Bit aggressive mate considering your text also went on about being "family friendly" so, no, I'll leave that 1 star now and no thanks I decline the offer...

I’m here 2-3 times a week for at least coffee if not a takeaway house-made sausage roll or bacon and egg roll, or big breakfast on a weekend. Price is mid-range but you more than get your money’s worth. Things like house-made wood-fired flat style ‘rolls’ are what makes this place special.
Have an awareness of waste and eco issues so minimal plastic, compostable coffee and juice cups etc.
My highlights: My favourite coffee at the moment. Sausage, bacon and egg roll with hollandaise. Big breakfast (usually a weekend special- sure you could make one up with extras.) Wood fired Pizza (only on a Friday evening.)
Parking is sometimes a hassle- nothing these guys can do about it so they still get 5/5. A lot of local people ride or walk down with their dogs.
Perspective: About to have my second visit of the day. 🤪 went for breakfast before coffee plans were made. Honestly nearly asked them to put some milk in my home made coffee as we had run out. Bought a coffee anyway so didn’t bother. I have no hesitation in saying they would have given me as much milk as I wanted and refused to take a cent. Awesome crew- front and back!!!

Had to visit the shop to try and resolve an issue with their app. Issue unresolved but placed our order and waited. And we waited. And we waited. After nearly forty minutes asked the lady behind the counter for an update. 8 more minutes she says. Come back in 8 minutes. Not just any lady by the way but the owner, . I go back after 10 minutes and I'm told it'll be another 10 mins. Had to ask for a refund and was confronted by a sleeve tugging waitress and the male owner. He was apologetic, but it was too late. First ever negative review I've ever left any business. Just had the predictable response To my review from the Owner accusing me of being aggressive towards the female staff. No, not aggressive but very annoyed at the poor service. If I was aggressive then why an apology from you. Accept the honest review and try and make your business better and stop playing the blame game. And I'm standing my ground. I had waited patiently for nearly an hour and still I was told a further 10 mins. Three pizzas, an hour and 10 mins and when I complain, your waitress manhandled me.
