Gala Tavern — Restaurant in Western Australia

I found about this restaurant from word of mouth. On the outside it just looks like a standard Aussie pub, but on the inside is a team of the friendliest, loveliest Thai ladies. The menu is authentic traditional Thai food and the prices are very good for what you get. I’m half Thai and this food reminds me of the food I had growing up. I never thought I would find some of the best Thai food in Kalgoorlie in the Gala Tavern of all places, but this place exceeds all expectations. Most underrated restaurant in Kalgoorlie. Such a hidden gem. Every person I’ve brought here had no clue it existed and I think this place does not get the recognition it deserves. If you are looking for somewhere new to eat in Kalgoorlie, go here - you can not go wrong. So very disappointing and unfortunately nothing including the food or services played in anyones favour.

Lunch was placed with a very unenthusiastic and visibly annoyed teller, she didnt make eye contact, didnt smile and was not helpful.

The food came after a long wait and after those who placed their orders after us. The kids platter plate was saturated in oil, the dino nuggies was so oily it was dripping from the nugget when squized. I had a chai latte and it just tasted like warmed milk and no spice. Very disappointing and wont be returning in the near future.

Lived at the gala for 6 months but left due to manager lizz walking into the men's shower's while I showered. Manager lizz told my wife she went into the shower's cause she thought that some1 was in there that owned her rent money. Went & payed rent to manager Lizz cause my wife was bizzy & Lizz the manager asked me to come into her bedroom and asked for sexual favors... we then moved from the gala after that and would never go back to stay there again... feel very disgusted...
