What's happened to Grilld Mt Lawley??
I hate giving such negative feedback in such difficult times but this couldn't be left unsaid as there was simply nothing good about our experience tonight.
Pigeons walking/flying throughout the premises - on tables, eating the food off dirty uncleared tables. Grosssss!
It was a quiet night without the usual packed tables we're used to, but service was at an all time SLOWWWW. Lots of staff about but we're guessing priority was for the UberEats orders building up? We waited some 20 mins for our meals. The large table next to us complained too after waiting over 30 mins for theirs.
As I said it wasn't busy inside but we had to ask for our sticky table to be wiped down. No sanitiser was used, and 1/2 the crumbs were left on the table. It also remained sticky :(
Chips were cold, dark but undercooked, even the herb salt lacked taste for some reason. Definitely not the usual Grilld YUMMINESS we're used to.
GF bun came out burnt. We waited a further 15 mins for its replacement. We'd all finished by the time it arrived.
Floor staff were flat and a little confused delivering our order to the table. We're guessing they're either new and untrained or just weren't interested in being there. And it showed.
All in all a fail from us. Regret spending $100 on dinner - it was simply awful. We won't be back with so many other choices in the area.
There's a lot of work to be done to get back the Grilld of old.

Read moreI've been to this store on many occasions and most of the time the food is consistently good. On the odd occasion the burgers can be a bit sloppy and sometimes the chips can be overdone as though they have been cooked more than once so can be oily. Service is always very good and quick. The staff seem to come around and clean the tables has quickly as possible once you have finished. Very clean store and large amount of seating area inside and also on an alfresco style seating looking outside onto Beaufort Street. The store can get very busy so if you wanting to place an order for take away my suggestion would be to go onto their website and place an order as that is the quickest way and it will give you an approximate time that your order is ready to pick up. ( normally even if busy within 20 mins) If you try and place an order over the phone there is no guarantee that you will get through as most of the time the phone is either engaged or no one answers because they are so busy. Otherwise if you want dine-in then you can go and order to normal way and but you could be waiting a while at busy times anf struggle to find a place / table to sit at even though there are lots of seating . They also sell drinks including alcoholic drinks mainly bottled and have gluten free options available for the...
Read moreDo not frequent this establishment. They do not deserve your custom. I attended this evening and advised the cashier that I was waiting for a 3rd diner and in the meantime I ordered 2 drinks. She said “that will be $18”. I handed her a $20 note then looked up and said don’t you mean “$16” as the board says they are $8 each. She said “the till says they are $9 each”. She then turned to another employee, who shrugged, then turned to the manager. I did not hear their conversation but she came back and said that it was the price that was on the till. I said no it is not and asked for my money back. I then told my son we were leaving and on the way out approached the manager and told him that he had made a very stupid decision to try to rip me off and explained that I also owned a business, a law firm in fact, and if they advertise a price they need to abide by that. He shrugged. They easily would have made about $150 out of us tonight and a great deal more on other nights as the restaurant is located between my work and home but with that attitude never again! Hope that attempt to make an extra $2 was worth it...
