We were excited to check out Ribs Lane when we saw it on social media, however we were nothing but disappointed. We went in on Saturday 15th of March for dinner and were greeted by the young waitress with big black curly hair. She told us the wait would be approximately 30 minutes for a table but we could sit at the bar area against the window if we wanted. We agreed as we didn’t want to wait any longer! The bar stools were very uncomfortable and very cramped so a few minutes after sitting down I asked if we could use the bar area to have a drink and once a table was available we could move there. She promptly said no as it was “A Saturday and it was busy they didn’t do that”. I didn’t quite understand as it didn’t seem like a difficult task however I accepted it and sat back down. We weren’t told how to order and it wasn’t made clear it wasn’t table service and so we eventually approached the counter and ordered our food. As we waited for our food we were then surprised to see the same waitress seating people at the bar area, where we were seated and then finding them tables once they became available, when she had told us that that wasn’t allowed. She proceeded to do this for 3 more parties and offered it to a 4th party next to us. We were very disappointed and cut our meal short as we were so disgusted by what that waitress had done. We also noticed that all the people sitting next to us were having water and glasses brought to them, however no one brought water to us. I’m not sure why we were treated so differently to the people around us. The loaded fries were good however the ribs were mediocre and were quite tough unfortunately. Amazing restaurant with good food and affordable prices. Visited this restaurant 4 times during my trip. Prices are unbeatable compared to the other restaurants in the area, and the quality of the food is great!

The food I had ordered over the four times included the beef ribs which were tender and the barbecue sauce was flavourful. On all occasions, I had ordered the full-rack and portions were generous. For the burgers, I had tried the lamb burger, which was delicious. The lamb patty was tender, and the burger itself was loaded and thick. However, as the burger was quite large, I could not finish it, so I would recommend sharing it with a friend. I had ordered the honey siracha wings which were appetising and had a sweet yet spicy taste. The Mac & Cheese was a re-order for me on all 4 occasions as it was very rich in flavour. While I enjoyed the sweet potato chips and onion rings, they were a little too salty for my liking. I had only tried one thick shake, which was Vanilla Strawberry which was delicious and was not too sweet.

The restaurant itself is rustic and has pretty limited seating. It would be easier to find a seat during lunch, as there are fewer customers. As the restaurant did not allow for reservations via call, it was difficult getting a seat during dinner, and we had ended up taking away the food, to eat at home. The inability to make reservations also caused a snaking line of customers outside the restaurant. Depending on how large the group is, the waiting time could range from 10 minutes to perhaps even up to an hour, from the looks of the line. This is worsened further by the limited seats. Half Rack Beef Ribs with BBQ Sauce Try Not To Burger Thick Cut Chips

The Ribs were very well cooked with a nice BBQ sauce. The meat fell clean off the bone. The burger was tasty and well balanced, the beef patty's were juicy and wel cooked, it had a little touch of zing to it that was nice. The chips were well seasoned and had the right amount of crunch. The atmosphere was nice with good background music playing. The staff were helpful, with fast and friendly service. Walked in off the street and was seated immediately, and only had to wait less than 10 minutes for my order.

21st Apr 2024 Classic RL Burger Half Rack Beef Ribs with Chilli Sauce Thick Cut Chips with Aioli

The Half Rack Beef Ribs with Chilli Sauce were cooked and seasoned well and were tasty. The serving size was decent a lot larger from the last time I was there when they first opened. The chilli sauce was a little sweet but not really spicy at all.

The Classic RL Burger was well made. Beef patty's cooked well. Liked how the onions were just diced instead of being caramelised. Could have had more cheese and bacon, which got lost in the other ingredients.

Plenty of seating, fast friendly service.

This time I had the Pork Ribs with Chilli Sauce. The serving size for the half rack was again pretty generous. The Beef Ribs I had before were nice, but now that I have tried the Pork Ribs, I did like them more. The sauce was sweet but not too spicy, and I would have preferred more of it.
