I had the sweet potato rosti. It’s not your usually rosti, it’s more like a sweet potato slice but it was still tasty and was presented nicely. I would have preferred two eggs instead of one. Overall the dish had a nice flavour to it. They have a few specials on the board behind the counter. I tried the fish tacos (one of the specials). There was a bit too much sauce on it, so it was a bit overpowering and I’d prefer one fish fillet instead of a few fish bites as it makes it easier to hold and eat. Despite those things it was still nice though. Pancakes were disappointing. Was supposedly a rhubarb cheesecake crumble, not sure how any of it resembles that. Tasted one dollop of cheesecake and the rest was cream. The crumble wasn’t crumble it was like a chocolate macaroon shell instead. 3 small pancakes for $24, definitely overpriced and wouldn’t recommend. Service is friendly and pretty quick. It can get quite busy but there’s also more seating out the back in the courtyard.

Coffee decent but not great. Like the efficient service, there is just a little something missing. Its strange what taste passion has in food and it is definitely an esoteric thing but is what makes a cafe great rather than very good. The job gets done and gets done quickly with no fuss but there is no eye contact on takeaway coffee pickups, and the breakfast wraps are 'takeaway only' - no budging. I haven't encountered that before and I was taken aback. If someone is willing to pay a dine-in price for something, why not sell it? Would I come back to this very good cafe? Probably not, purely because there is a Great cafe just down the road.

My mandatory coffee pit stop before work. They open at 6am, which is a godsend for early starters and a lot better than relying on maccas coffee, I'll tell you that. There's nothing more aggravating to me than being awake before 10am, so it's nice and comforting to walk into this cosy cafƩ, say hi to the early morning regulars, and get your coffee from the friendly staff who remember both your name and coffee order. That's all.

Quite pretentious and not child friendly. It is always very busy and full of snobby patrons. Staff and customers alike have no courtesy to customers with children. More than once I’ve had difficulty getting through the door in and out with a baby carriage, no one holds the door open or even give you space while waiting with a child, patrons just carry on their group conversations watching you struggle. There is no waiting area for baby buggy’s and you can only stand by the desk being knocked into by said customers. I like sweetener in my coffee and twice now I’ve been asked ā€œhow manyā€ (pills of equal) while they hold the sweetener dispenser with an iron grip and put it in themselves. This is not good coffee shop practice - you wouldn’t let someone put sugar into your coffee would you? People like their coffee to taste and add bit by bit until it is to their liking. I asked the red haired girl could I hold the dispenser and put them in and got a ā€œno!ā€ snorted at me. I’m not going to steal it! Besides why haven’t you got sweetener on tables like every other coffee shop on earth? Some of the staff seem very friendly whilst others are not, none that I have seen have shown any extra courtesy to customers with children. Just another ā€œgourmetā€ Perth coffee shop, think I’ll go...

Was so disappointed in the end with this cafe. Have been many times for coffee which is always spot on, however recently I decided to try the food and ordered the home made crumpets which were DEAD RAW. The centre of them was literally the consistency of pancake batter. When I returned them, I was made to feel like the worst person to exist šŸ˜‚ To the point where I could hear the chef in the kitchen and the barista talking and complaining about the fact I returned them. I was in no way angry when I initially returned them and was happy for them to be recooked, however when this is the way hospitality employees behave when something is returned is wild. I understand sometimes the customer is actually not always right, but in this instance there was no way I couldn’t not return them - completely inedible. It’s actually not that hard to say sorry and move on. They offered to recook them (reluctantly as apparently it’s a ā€˜dense centre’), but I chose to get a refund instead as I felt too uncomfortable to be there one minute longer. Side note, the young male server who took my order was absolutely lovely (no involvement in...
