Time and time again, cold whoppers, cold and bread quite stale actually.....This is not a one off and it's not the "kids" fault serving, the girl was very pleasant and I could see she was stressed and being as polite as possible. This is why I feel bad writing this because I have kids too and it's hard when you're young and trying to have a go with no guidence. The owners and/or managers is totally lacking in guidence! The last 4 times I have been through the drive through I thought, I won't say anything and hopefully it will get better but last night (6pm not busy) I had to say something. The slow service with no direction and no production line is a recipe for disaster and the knock on effect will probably have an impact on those just trying to have a go 😔 But, I was told to park and they started serving other cars who got their order before me like I was totally overlooked. So, after 5 mins waiting in the car park I went in and they hadn't even started my order but others were still receiving their meals. Another 5 minutes and two more requests to kitchen by young lady for my order and finally I received my hot chips and cold whopper.....again!
HJ's needs to franchise this business off as they own all the stores (or used to anyway). It's shocking, will bypass this shop 4 eva now. Apologies to the young adults, this is by no way your fault or aimed at you, it lies totally with HJ's management and training.
How some of the previous reviews got above 2 stars is mind boggling.

I ordered ice cream through uber eats, I was connected to a driver and the tracking said they were at the restaurant ready to pick up my food. I then got a call from the restaurant telling me there ice cream machine wasn't working and I had to cancel my order. The uber driver was getting impatient as he wasn't going to get paid if he didn't deliver my order to me. The Hungry Jacks staff member was very unhelpful and didn't assist me with cancelling the order. I had to contact the uber eats company and ask them to cancel the order as the app doesn't let you cancel once the driver has been connected. Hungry Jacks should have contacted uber eats to let them know the ice cream machine is broken so the ice cream could be removed off the menu before someone orders it. Hungry Jacks also should have contacted me before the driver showed up. I spent a lot of time (that i didn't have) trying to sort out the issue so the driver could continue working and so i would get a refund. I am completely disgusted in the way Hungry Jacks handled the situation, I was a very regular customer but will certainly not be returning...
Read moreI visited HJs in Melville this morning, taking advantage of a break between work commitments to use the drive-through service. The attendant, who may have also been the manager, was incredibly friendly. He informed me that the Cowboy Burger would take an extra 5 to 6 minutes to prepare and asked if I was okay with the wait. I appreciated the upfront communication and agreed to wait in the waiting service bay.
To my pleasant surprise, when my order was ready, the attendant came out and added a complimentary portion of fries to my order as a gesture for the slight delay. I thought this was an excellent touch that certainly enhanced my experience. The Cowboy Burger itself did not disappoint—it was delicious, not overly greasy, and the bun was freshly baked and flavorful.
Overall, I've experienced longer waits at other establishments, so the service here was more than satisfactory. I left the drive-through feeling happy and satisfied, not just with my meal, but also with the level of customer service I received. Would highly recommend this location to anyone in search of a quick yet...
