Hi everyone! Just a heads up to people who want to buy fish and chips here, I would label it a takeaway/last minute or very basic F&C place. Please don’t go here expecting five star restaurant quality. It is for the people who just want some basic local fish and chips. I was craving some F&C, and so I went to this place because I didn’t feel like driving 30min to a place with incredible ratings. I just wanted stock standard. This was that. It was tasty. Wasn’t off, or smelly or anything like that. The restaurant was visibly clean which is very important. The service wasn’t that good. The man who served me sounded fed up, which I absolutely understand as a customer service worker. And to be honest, I wasn’t going to this place for the customer service. But I would suggest to Kims F&C to try and put a smiling server on. It has an incredible impact on customers and their likelihood of coming back to the restaurant. You don’t need to be over the top, rainbows and butterflies, but continuous sighing and a complete lack of enthusiasm can make someone want to leave or ask for a refund. Again, the chips and fish were good. Especially the fish. It was crispy, cooked to perfection and tasted great! Is $15 a bit exxy, sure, but what isn’t nowadays. Accessibility: parking around the restaurant is good. There’s is parking right out the front of the restaurant, however there is a ledge that isn’t accessible via wheelchair. However, around 10-20m from the restaurant is a ramp. It might actually be closer than that, I am just terrible as guessing measurements. There isn’t any loud music playing or flashing lights. The TV was also off when I went inside. It was a tad echoey.

Health department should close this shop Down. We ordered shark and it was violently off and tasted like mercury and ammonia … the squid rings were so small with a mass of hideous under cooked batter … the muscles were black and jelly under the thick batter. I asked for my $40 back and Kim the owner made me wait 50 minutes for her to arrive and then she called the police. I talked to police and they said Kim had told them that I was throwing food and trying to open the cash register! Which was a lye. All I wanted was to have fish and chips for dinner! I never got the refund and went hungry for the night. I will be putting in a complaint to health department.

Awful. Firstly they overcharged us, the fish was old, mushy & smelly (& red emperor is not a cheap cut), it was a thin piece with thick floury batter, we couldn't eat it. We asked for lightly cooked chips, they were on the verge of being burned. They couldn't tell us what kind of snapper they have. They didn't put vinegar on. The squid rings & prawn cutlets were all overcooked. Overall terrible. The owner of the shop in Spearwood is abusive to her staff. We will never buy from any Kim's again. Would give a zero or negative rating if possible

Poxiest fish and chip shop in Perth. Chips are soggy, the portions stingy and the service sucks. The kid who took my order refused to batter a cornjack, even adter I asked politely. Told me it wouldn't work. I settled for fish and chips and received a thin oily piece of something and a tiny serve of chips.I threw it away rather than feed it to the dogs.

Foolishly I decided to give them another go. We all have bad days right, so I returned the next week. They weren't busy and the three staff completely ignored me almost contemptuously as I walked in and waited to order, so I left.

I tried Bellissimo round the corner, much better. Got a warm welcome, their smallest serve of chips ($2.20) was a pile the size of a footy and they...

So I just came out of the doctors next door and thought mmm I haven't had any fish and chips in ages I might grab some from here. Never been here before because therefore don't seem that great in terms of where it matters. I rarely get fish and chips because my body can't handle oily food often So when I do eat oily or fatty foods its gotta be G.O.O.D. I decided to check the reviews again and as I was standing outside by my car a woman and her kids walked in then a minute later walked out saying "they've gotten stingy as". It seems like she went to take her business elsewhere. So that sold me...going up the road to Piscari fish and chips and get me some quality...
